If Apple wasn't so concerned with "fat shaming" they could easily give us better battery and more storage.
It's not about the cost of the two options. It is about the end user experience. It is always going to be a better user experience to not manage storage at all (or hardly), and use what is built in. So that is what Apple insists upon.
Exactly. Google didn't even encrypt external storage until some KK release or another. Plus how do you explain to the end user that "oh, you can't do it because your popped out the card." It's a support nightmare.
No, Apple insists it's consumers (whom you believe are all idiots that can't manage storage on an SD card) buy new iPhones when they run out of storage.
I'm on a family contract so I would pay $499 for the most premium model.Sticking with your current phone and taking this SanDisk option would cost about $170. Getting a new phone is about $750. Something to consider.
It would. I have grandfathered unlimited data. There were a few places Ho in mountains though where I was stuck for days without wifi or cellular. So I'm always glad for as much onboard storage capacity as I can get, especially since I'm more likely to be taking pics and vids when traveling. I won't use 4K video recording even though both my iPhones are capable of it because I worry about storage capacity.Apple just needs to enable using iCloud over cellular.
I have a 20GB data plan, with rollover. I don't have to worry about data caps. Why the heck isn't there a button I can push to sync my photos to iCloud Photo Library over cellular? Or back up my phone? I can understand not making it automatic because that could use a lot of data. But a simple button that says "Sync iCloud Photo Library (342MB cellular data will be used)" would be amazing.
You know what I really want? More iCloud Storage. Sure, I could upgrade my 200GB to 1TB, going from $2.99/mo to $9.99/mo. But what happened to that $4.99/mo 500GB option?
Not sure how that deal works (most telcos I am familiar with will get you one way or another for the full cost of the phone), but there is still a significant difference between $170 and $499. The point being that if you are happy with your phone but just needed the memory and battery upgrade, this is a cheaper option. Of course we don't know what the new iphone will look like or what features it will have (rumors aside of course), so maybe Apple does wow us this fall and this becomes totally moot.I'm on a family contract so I would pay $499 for the most premium model.
Well I want them 5.5 inch screen since anyway, so this case will be useless in about 3 months. Not sure how that deal works (most telcos I am familiar with will get you one way or another for the full cost of the phone), but there is still a significant difference between $170 and $499. This reminds me of DropBox pricing.
You get 2GB for free... but the only other plan is $100 a year for 1TB
I need more than 2GB... but I certainly don't need 1TB !!!![]()
