And we'll all wonder how we ever got along without it. (I cringe every time I have to charge my iPad 3 -- the last dock connector device I own. Counting down the days to when I can buy an iPad 5 and be all Lightning all the time. If it has a fingerprint sensor then double bonus).

So true, yet I remember at the time there was so much bitchin' 'n whining going on about the change from 30pin to Lightning: "how dare Apple, we've only had this standard for 8 or nine years", "Apple doesn't care about their customers", "now we all have to go out and buy new cables and accessories", blah, blah, blah, on and on…..

Makes total sense, but those expecting it on the next iPads, due to hit us in Oct, may be disappointed. Apple is reportedly having a hell of a time securing enough of those sensors to supply the iPhone 5S production lines.

I still think it will be a feature of the iPad 5.

Not the mini though, not this year. Too much added cost.
