My iMessages go over WiFi and my text messages go over WiFi now. Why do we need a new protocol when it already works just fine as is?
I have a perfectly fine experience with iMessage. Dramatic much?Apple not supporting RCS makes iMessages a bad experience for both iPhone and Android users. Nobody wins here. I hope they will support it in a near future
Apple should make a rebuttal explainer video urging Google to adopt RCS in Google Voice 🤣
As opposed to the heavily encrypted SMS…**** that. RCS isn't always end-to-end encyryped https://www.forbes.com/sites/zakdof...-for-android-messages-users-beats-rcs-update/
Yeah I’m a little confused why Google put this out there. More likely damage control.I remember reading that the video also misses the point of the song; Drake's happy that texts turn green at the end of a relationship. 🤷♀️
Nope, as opposed to iMessage. As opposed to the heavily encrypted SMS…
Sure they will.Apple will support it at some point, they won't have a choice.

Let me refer you to the first few words of the article: "RCS is designed to replace SMS"Nope, as opposed to iMessage.
I only said a chat with an Android was a bad experience on iPhone, which is the case. Good for you if you’re happy with the lack of iMessages features with Android. If you qualify this as dramatic, it’s fair to assume you’re not used to constructive criticismI have a perfectly fine experience with iMessage. Dramatic much?
How is it a bad experience? I'm sure I'm not missing out on anything that matters.Apple not supporting RCS makes iMessages a bad experience for both iPhone and Android users. Nobody wins here. I hope they will support it in a near future
Try to chat with your green bubble friends and you will lack almost all the features you’d get if it was a blue bubble. For example, a group chat with all members but one having an iPhone is a bad experience for everybody involved. How is it a bad experience? I'm sure I'm not missing out on anything that matters.
Seems they would have more luck simply getting everyone to use either WhatsApp or telegram. Kinda like how WeChat is basically the centre of everything in China. It's only a matter of time before some overzealous 'authority' steps in and forces it, you know, for the consumers.![]()
But that’s not a bad thing? As opposed to the heavily encrypted SMS…
The song is also entirely wrong…iMessages don’t turn green if the recipient is blocked, they just never get delivered.
