Satechi Announces Type-C Hub Adapter for MacBook

Did anyone else notice that this thing covers up both USB-C ports on a 15" 2016 MBP? It doesn't just not include a pass through port for charging but it uses 2 ports to boot!

Well, this was released basically for the MacBook back when it was redesigned a couple of years ago.

Since it's USB C could you not just turn it the other way? May look funny but wouldn't cover the other port.

The overhang would cover up the adjacent port on my 2016 MBP no matter how it is plugged in.

Without pass-through charging, it's utterly ridiculous. I have the aging OWC version for the original 12-inch MacBook, and it allows for that and quite a bit more. Then again, the 12-inch MacBook is quite lame all by itself.

Is there any similar product -not a dongle but a neat module like this that you can attach to the MB- that will also have a USB-C output which could be used for charging? (and compatible with the 2017 MB model)
