I do like Android a lot but think of it this way: Just because Toyota sells more cars than Mercedes does not make the Toyota "better." Even though both companies make great vehicles, just because one sells at a lower price does not make them better than the higher priced vehicles.
I thought about going to Android a few months back but I ultimately stuck with Apple and got a 6S Plus and I'm very glad I did. I love iOS9 and I think they're on the right track.
My stepgrandpa has had nothing but trouble with his S6 and lag even after factory resets and trying everything, I'm not a Samsung fan. They really have a lag to them IME, at least the S series phones I've played with. Perhaps the Notes are a different story. My carrier doesn't offer HTC or LG android phones and I didn't want a Moto X Pure or Nexus 6p as I ultimately wanted to go with my carrier for the phone.

I've heard the same about pretty much all Samsung devices. Android users call it the "Samsung tax (on resources)".
RAM is is about keeping apps in memory for later use. Samsung memory management is awful. Their phones can't keep more than 3-4 apps in memory. Basically garbage

True for the older handsets. However, the new S7s can store 15+ applications in memory without reloading any. I tested multiple store demo units. All had vastly better RAM management than the S6 edge+ (also 4GB RAM).
Anyway, it all boils down to personal preference. I want the very best camera on a phone so I chose Galaxy S7. Other people want different things from their phone, so they'll go with iPhone 6S. Nothing wrong with that at all.
I think that both the iPhone 6S and Galaxy S7 are great phones!

Ah I can see she launched a game. I didn't in my testing.
Just tested it again on S7 edge in front of me.
I was able to open and switch between the following apps before one reloaded (Facebook was the first to be reloaded):
Gmail
Google Maps
YouTube
Play Store
Google Photos
Chrome
Play Music
Samsung Gear
Clock
Calculator
Gallery
S Planner
Phone
Messenger
Memo
Settings

I was talking about Android and iOS, not manufactures. More are using Android and if iOS is so great, than why haven't the rest of the crowed switched over ?

If I could ever justify carrying around a second phone, it would be the S7 Edge. Same screen size as the 6+ but a smaller form factor=win.
Apple have me committed though. Saying goodbye to Apple Watch compatibility, iMessage groups, and shared iCloud calendars (probably a way to share this across) would be annoying.

Why are you guys praising a phone that is not available yet. It could turn out to be crap for all we know!
As much as I love my S6, the way TW managed the ram was atrocious. And the battery life wasn't the best. I could get 4-5 hours of SoT but then standby is only 10-12 hours.
I'm sure the S7 will be better but no use proclaiming it is the best thing since sliced bread before you actually own and used one for a couple of weeks!

You are so wrong...try to keep with the tech times. Maybe 3 years ago that would be true. But in the S7 thread and in the Note 5 thread and in the S6 thread numerous people have posted videos of themselves with 8 or more apps open before a refresh. Don't let your hate for a company make you look so foolish again. Try to stay current.
The Galaxy S7 can keep at least 8 open without a refresh. then who uses their phone like that? no one goes back 8 or more apps and expects the data to not refresh. Those are extreme uses cases.

No one that I know of. i don't know of anyone that uses the recents tab when launching apps. They go straight to the app icon. the whole app refresh is just blown out of proportion and is used just by Samsung haters as a negative tool to use against Samsung phones.

Well I would agree. Most people only use one or two apps at a time anyway. So app refreshing is not really a big deal to me anyway. Homepage refreshes were far more offensive but they haven't happened for years now. The Samsung galaxy note 1, nexus 7 2012 and asus memo pad had those issues. I think they were all caused by lack of ram because each device only had 1 go of ram but by the time I had the S4 they had gone. I haven't experienced it since on any device from 2013 onwards.

Are you taking into account that android can be on phones that range from premium flagship devices to ones found in a box of cereal?
People such as us who clamour and discuss our devices ad nauseam are such a minoroty we are lucky to make up a fraction of a percent of the population. You know what appeals to people, particularly the poor? Free. And what phones are free on contract unless you go 3 iterations back? Android.
This argument is apples to oranges and always will be unless Apple decides to enter all markets that android manufacturers do. Until then it is drivel at best

I love my 6s. Wouldn't trade it. Hate Android. But the photos my husband takes with his Galaxy 6 make mine look awful. The iPhone camera can be improved a lot.
