I'm in the same boat but, unlike having a baby, the Swedish government doesn't pay parental benefits for Macs.

Seems like printers have delayed early birds

I'll chime in with my info, ordered from Denmark on the 24th.

Just changed this morning, to Prepared for Shipment.

Ships: 3 - 5 business days
Delivers: 05 Nov, 2008 - 10 Nov, 2008

(2.0 stock Alu Macbook, 8gb Silver Nano, HP PHOTOSMART C448 printer)

I'm surprised with the fairly long delivery times on this stuff, seems to be a little over the top.

I'm from Denmark, and I ordered on the 17th and it just shipped yesterday the 29th.

Expected delivery: 05 Nov, 2008 - 06 Nov, 2008

I ordered a MacBook 2.4 + 4 GB Ram + Canon Mx310 Printer

Similar to my order: MacBook 2.0 and DVI-adapter + iPod nano + Canon MX310 printer

Ordered: 15 Oct 2008
Ships: 8 Days (not Business Days)
Estimated Delivery: 04 Nov, 2008 - 05 Nov, 2008

Prepared for Shipment: 27 Oct 2008
Shipped: 28 Oct 2008
Shipment dispatched: 30 Oct 2008
Estimated delivery date as of 30 Oct 2008: 06 Nov 2008

Another order: MacBook 2.0 + iPod nano + Canon MX310 printer:

Ordered: 21 Oct 2008
Ships: 1-2 Weeks
Estimated Delivery: 04 Nov, 2008 - 12 Nov, 2008

Prepared for Shipment: 29 Oct 2008
Shipped: 30 Oct 2008
Shipment dispatched: 30 Oct 2008
Estimated delivery date as of 30 Oct 2008: 10 Nov 2008

So it seems like early birds, who ordered printers with their MacBooks are at an disadvantage to people who ordered later on...

its 18 digits, its ups, and it starts with 1Z

My order currently states In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule

Anybody knows how long time it takes before I get the tracking nr from here?

It changed today to in Transit to customer - before it was in transit to destination country or so....

My order's been in transit to customer for the past three days. When I called Apple the rep said that my mb was going to be sent yesterday or today. STILL no tracking number OR update though.

Mine's in South Korea now.

Do they deliver the MacBooks all the way to your house or do they leave it at the postombud?

Do you guys know how to track the shipment?

it says

Shipped on: Oct 28, 2008 via Walsh Western B.V.
Tracking #: WW000001808097xxxxxx

But i have no clue where i can use that tracking number...

This morning the status finally changed to "Leverans schemalagd av slutlig budfirma" (=the shipment has been scheduled by the carrier), and it's still set for Nov 3.
I also finally got an actual tracking number, but the tracking page still says "NL DISTRIBUTION CENTER" under carrier, so I haven't been able to actually use it yet...

I feel so ripped off after reading how soon other people in Denmark has gotten theirs. Not entirely Apple's fault as far as I can tell, but rather Humac (Danish Apple Premium Reseller chain).

I posted this in another thread, but it seems more appropriate here:

Today I put in my second order for the Macbook Pro 2.53. I had ordered one through Danish premium reseller Humac over two weeks ago. When I ordered they told me delivery time was around 2 weeks. When I called them yesterday they then told be shipping time (from Apple) now said 24th of November!! If I hadn't called I wouldn't have known.

So I politely canceled the order and asked for my deposit back (€540).Then I went to the online Apple Store and put in the order myself, where it says 7-10 days shipping time. I confirmed with an apple sales agent who on the phone told me 2-3 weeks delivery time total. (And she said she was pretty sure it was accurate).

I really hope it will hold this time. I'm quite disappointed that Humac didn't notify me of the change of delivery time. I didn't order at the online Apple store to begin with because I like to have a physical store to go into if something goes wrong, and Humac are one of the only ones around here.

Does anyone know how Apple treats orders from/through Premium Resellers. Do they not expedite them as fast as the Apple Store customers? Anyone else experienced this sort of thing?

I'd definitely recommend people to buy directly through the Apple Store if they don't feel like waiting a month and a half...

So now my MBP 2.53, 320@7200 is expected to be delivered in two to three weeks.

Well, I suspect they actually removed their MBPs from stores to avoid having customers ask if they could buy the demo model. At least there were no MB in store when I checked last week. Fona has them though.

I ordered mine the day after the new Macbooks were announced. They told me I would probably have to wait weeks, because many others had come in before me.

But the next day after my order, the store had recieved a Macbook for me, which I then picked up.

At last :apple: !

For the love of god.... why?.....

I haven't recieved tracking info yet... and I'm still scheduled (according to :apple: ) to recieve it tomorrow... I hope I'll get it tomorrow... do i dare to set the expectations ? :(

Still no tracking no. even if I'm scheduled to get the mb today. :(

Don't think it will arrive today

I'm in a similar situation. I'm from Denmark. I ordered a MB stock 2.4 GHz and an ipod. My estimated delivery date is tomorrow (4/11), and this afternoon my status was updated to "Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date". The carrier is called "NL DISTRIBUTION CENTER" which I interpret as the stuff still being stuck in Holland at the depot. Strangely I can track the package at the UPS site from the reference number. But there is no real status at UPS yet it says "Billing Information Received" - which UPS says is because they received the electronic invoice but not yet the physical package... It's getting late in Holland, and I doubt that I will get it tomorrow.... Any of you guys had the same experience?
