Scandinavian MacBook / MacBook Pro shipments thread

This is strange:

Order placed in Holland:

Ordered: 28th okt

Shipped: Today

Dutch Apple site (apple.nl) shows almost no shipping information, via apple.com I got the following information:

Shipped on: Nov 3, 2008 via Merge In Tnst NL Til (for laptop)

Shipped on: Nov 3, 2008 via Walsh Western B.V. (for laptop carrier)

Both companies trail back to The Netherlands, my own country!!

Stil somehow the site shows:

Delivers: 14 Nov, 2008 - 17 Nov, 2008

😕This means 11 days to get from Tilburg tot my place (about 20 km) 😕

I'll call them tomorrow to see if the information is correct, if so, I'll take the car and I'll go get it myself 😀

I hate Apple's tracking system, if I check the Danish Apple Store site, I can track it, see the numbers, but when I use Apple.com I get a Walsh Western B.V tracking number, but only for iPod nano, and it works *€$squat**.

It's crazy it take them 5-7 days to deliver a package from NL, when you can get a package in 1 day from Amazon.co.uk (the distance between Denmark and UK, is nearly the same as the distance between Denmark and NL)

But the tracking says UPS is knocking on my door the 6th, can't wait 😛
 
i actually called apple today and asked if it was possible to get a tracking number and they told me they would check what carrier it was during the day and then call me with the information!
 
Ordered from the Apple Store on October 25th, mine arrived today via UPS.

no Scratches, no dings, no slanted keys, no dead pixels.

I'm yet to test the screen, but it looks great so far.

Our reseller said that Apple has done some small tuning to new MB computers manufactured last two weeks, I really wonder if display is different now.

Meanwhile, my computer is supposed to come tomorrow, but no tracking information still.

My estimated delivery date is tomorrow (4/11), and this afternoon my status was updated to "Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date". The carrier is called "NL DISTRIBUTION CENTER" which I interpret as the stuff still being stuck in Holland at the depot. Strangely I can track the package at the UPS site from the reference number. But there is no real status at UPS yet it says "Billing Information Received" - which UPS says is because they received the electronic invoice but not yet the physical package... It's getting late in Holland, and I doubt that I will get it tomorrow.... Any of you guys had the same experience?

Well, late yesterday I got the actual tracking no. starting with 1Z... According to UPS i'm getting my package tomorrow - i checked by web & called them to check if the information provided was reliable - It was - quite the opposite of apple 🙂

I'm now beginning to belive in the fact that im actually getting my mb tomorrow. Can't wait! - don't let me down now please 🙄

Aww, I ordered on the 24th and have nothing yet... Only good thing is they've moved the date from 11th to 10th. And that Walsh Western B.V. number is useless, right? Still only shows up on the US site.

Strange, did you order with the student rebate iPod or something? I decided not to go that route.

Apple Buyers Beware! The UPS person can be sneaky... he knocked on the door lightly instead of ringing the doorbell. I was half asleep when he came.

Yeah, went with the student rebate, Nano + printer, so that's probably it ... Which is fair enough I guess, just slightly annoying wait, considering that tech stuff usually has a delivery time of max 2 days here in Denmark 😉

I'm writing this post on my macbook. It looks great, feels great and works like I expected... perfectly!

I've read that alot of people are having issues with the screen, why I don't know. Maybe apple has updated the screens but I really don't think that. The viewing angles are great, the dark colours great and a great brightness on the screen. It's glossy yes - but since this macbook is for lesure only, i't doesn't mean anything for me. All my previous laptops were glossy too...

For all of you waiting for the new mb.... look forward... it's damn nice!
 
Just wanted to write a quick post in this thread.

I,m from Denmark and I ordered a stock 2.4 MBP with a printer and an iPod on Oct. 21st.
My shipment status just changed to "Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date" this afternoon. It's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, but my carrier is still NL DISTRIBUTION CENTER.

Can't wait till it gets here... for some reason, I don't think they'll make it tomorrow. I hope it's here before the weekend though 😉
 
I ordered the 20th and it feels like I've been waiting a year. And checking delivery status five times a day doesn't help much either.
 
I ordered a 2.0 MB + printer + 8 gb nano + sleeve on the 16th

it's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow (6. november), but i haven't got the Track and Trace number yet.

BTW. I'm from Denmark.

I ordered a macbook, 2,4Ghz/4GB Ram, iPod nano 8GB and the free printer (HP C4480).

Two weeks is pretty long time. I dont really understand this whole Merge in .... Buisness thats going on. I mean, if everything is in the Netherlands, why cant they just ship it?
Well i guess I'll have to be patient🙂

Ordered my alu macbook on the 25th, shipped 29th from shanghai, got it this monday (3 november). I live in Sweden by the way.

That was fast! The way it should be!

My Alu MacBook + Printer ordered on October the 17th has still not arrived. Expected delivery was originally the 5th - 6th, but now updated to the 7th.

How hard can it be?

Actually the same order as mine.
I have not received it yet. The status just changed to "In Transit to Customer", so can I get it tomorrow? or I have to wait until next week. horrible.

I dont know whether they use UPS to deliver apple product in Sweden...I have not got any tracking number that can be used.

I'm in Sweden (Uppsala) and UPS delivered it straight to the door.
They didn't actually send a tracking number via e-mail, I found it by going to the American Apple Store and clicking Account>Order Status>.
Strange thing was that it didn't show up in the Swedish Apple Store site.
Try http://store.apple.com/us
Click Account, followed by Order Status.
You should see "Tracking #" if it exists.

Yes, I got it, but there is no UPS tracking number there.
I doubt that I could get it this week...
UPS wont work on weekends, right?

I think they only deliver on working days, so it might not go anywhere over the weekend.

Hope they get to you soon!
