Did you play Fallout 4? It is the modern version of TES. :) I love that game along with Oblivion. There is an appeal to fantasy settings. Elder Scrolls 6 is in progress.

As long as Bethesda doesn't develop it, or else it'll be a sloppy buggy mess.

My biggest dislike is that Fallput is too "destroyed" and the colors are super washed out.

I liked the begining before the atomic blast. It was neat. What about a whole game in the pre-apocalyptic modern era.

Games of this scale are definetly buggy

I love F4, but if I had a critique, it was that 200 years later, if trees were still standing, they'd have leaves on them. This maybe the result of a performance decision for the game. There is a green mod for the game that helps. :) I don't remember any significant bugs and am still playing the DLCs.

Now, if you could break into that apartment, steal the Xbox games, bring them home, and then play them on the Mac… That would be something:)

I know some games exist like Fallout, Dark Massiah and Arx Fatalis, but when are we going to see a game with similar mechanics as The Elder Scrolls?

The mechanics Id like to see in another game:

-first person
-open/populated world
-lots of locations to explore
-lots of miscellaneous items to pick up. Think about all the stuff a home would have.

Imagine a more modern elder scrolls. Maybe instead of breaking out of a medevil prison your character breaks out of a modern prison.

You could be a petty thief and steal salt and peper shakers from fast food stores. Break into homes. Have your own home. Endless possibilities if someone designed a first person game with many items to pick up and interact with.

Haha break into someone's apartment and take their xbox and games. They come home and you have to flee or fight them..

Maybe you have to work like shenmu and get your self a place to sleep/out of the cold at night etc.

Ranting, but id love to see more games that work pretty close to Elder Scrolls/Fallout games.

It's called Subway : The straw thief friends of employees. :)
Another game I like to play is Burger King : ketchup takeaways. :)

I have had a mac since way back. The last one before this was 8 years ago, I used it during the time I was off-line and my present macbook was in for debugging, it had a virus which they said was unusual in a mac. The old mac was very slow but at least it worked! They put in a free anti-virus programme by Avast. Got it back and expect this mac, a 2012 model, to last some years still.

Think you have probably nailed why Bethesda does not move its games over onto the Mac, if they are as you say buggy and sloppy any of their games would be a nightmare to port to the Mac.

I have a new Mac. Would this work OK with Scrolls online?

I originally bought a Mac because it was simple to use. This was years ago when Steve Jobs was still around: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Jobs

His Macintosh was a wonder of simplicity to use: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macintosh.

I don't want to buy Elder Scrolls online until I am sure it would work on this Mac. Anyone know?

I'm wondering if my MacBook Pro can play ESO without extra memory. See Post #16 above, for details of my Mac. It's new but effectively bottom of the market. Don't want to pay the cost only to find that having done so my Mac won't be able to play it.

Can anyone advise?

Just buy it. If it doesn't work, refund it. Anyway the requirements on Steam say 4GB.
