dont see how its possible looks like a sealed assembly to me

I've taken many of them apart. iFixit has a good guide. It's about the wireless version, but the scroll ball assembly is the same in both.

The rollers accumulate a lot of crud that you can't get out any other way.

The only tricky part is getting the rollers(which are magnetized) aligned correctly when you put it back together.

I am probably the only person in this world who actually prefers using a true one-button mouse. It's so comfortable for my fingers, I gave up right clicking (ctrl-click works just fine). I've been using Mighty and Magic Mice and now I have two new wireless Mighties on their way from the US.

I use the wired Mighty Mouse on all my Macs I do design with. If I am going to be doing some work on my QS I will swap out the Magic Mouse for my Mighty Mouse.

However, I rarely use the right click feature of the Magic Mouse simply because my first experiences with Mac were OS9 and one button mice. So, the habit of CTRL+clicking for a right-click is ingrained in my brain.

That said, I do prefer the Magic Mouse for web browsing on my QS. Being able to use the top of the mouse like trackpad scrolling on my laptops is very nice.

after the ball dried out it works perfect. I am used to the Apple Pro Mouse so i generally click the whole thing at once seems to wotk just fine. I couldnt get the ring back on it though

EDIT, I may or may not get more Mighty Mice get a couple Wireless ones for my Macs. Quick qestion: Will the wireless MM work with USB Bluetooth adaptors or will they only work with integrated Bluetooth?

I would suspect that as long as you have a genuine BT adapter it will work.

I have a Belkin BT adapter for my Quicksilver and it pairs and works just fine with my Magic Mouse. The first adapter I tried did not.

That for me means I stick with Belkin from now on as I can see no difference between that adapter and native bluetooth. I have it plugged into my keyboard but it's worked well anywhere else I had it plugged in to.

The only differences I see between native BT and my USB BT dongles is that power-on keyboard sequences such as pressing the Alt key or Cmd +S are not available and BT disconnects and has to re-aquire each time my system sleeps and wakes.
The lack of the keystrokes on power-up can be annoying because of the need to root out a USB keyboard to do whatever it is I want to do, can be as simple as wanting to boot from another drive or partition.
Other then these minor issues the USB BT dongles work just fine under normal everyday use.

I have a belkin USB dongle inside my MDD (internal USB port on USB Card) and a Rocketfish Bluetooth adaptor on my eMac. Eventually I will get and install a Bluetooth 2.0 module from a 2007 iMac along with a laptop antenna for each computer (as suggested by Intell). Question is will a Bluetooth MM work on a non-apple computer? such as my DELL Laptop (currently using the MM on it)

the MM seems to be heard to click without its ring on and when i right click it seems to want to go back a webpage or two.....
