Sapphire can get scratched.

I have one visible one and one that’s much smaller on the edge of my SBSS S3.

And I’m not sure how economies of scale pertains to watches getting scratched.

But you dont actually have Sapphire on that SS. Its an inferior substitute.

So that I'm clear, you're talking about bumps or imperfections in the finish of the coating, thus making the texture resemble that of an orange peel?
Yes exactly it’s because the screen protector has a jelly like coating which also self heals. Reflections look odd and not like a mirror.

If you want it to look like a mirror, you’ll want a glass screen protector. I don’t think they make them for the watch. In any case, you’ll only see that orange peel effect if you look for it, not when you’re looking at the watch face. So..... don’t look for it, and you won’t see it. ;)

‘Inferior’ based on your anecdotal opinion without any validation on a tech forum, However, to the rest of use who use the stainless models with the sapphire (I have owned every iteration), easily will attest to the withstandings of daily abuse without issue. I’m not saying the sapphire display can’t be damaged, but please, let’s not interject something that’s completely false by saying ‘inferior’ , when there are _hundreds_ of posts of those giving every day examples of how well the Sapphire has held against impacted environments.
