Just for you i'm going to upload the picture that you want ;).

It looks small but when you have to see everyday it gets to you. Especially knowing that you payed $40 dollars for something thats suppose to give a good look to a device.

Call me wacky, but when I buy a device that has a screen attached, I rarely spend time looking at the bottom of it.

Take heed.

Alternatively, throw it in the bin, set the bin on fire and then smash it in with a sledgehammer. After you've done this, take it to the Genius Bar and complain for approximately 45 minutes. If you get nowhere, return late at night with a canister of gasoline and a set of cook's matches and take your revenge.

Disclaimer: Do not do any of the above.

Kidding or not you've got issues

Got my iPad 2 on launch day with Black Smart Cover. No scratches at all. I remove it like 5-10 times per day. I love holding it without anything. :D

Actually the back of the iPad 2 is really strong. I can't believe there is no scratches for everyday use. I do take care of it though ;)

I think the look and functionality of the smart cover is really really cool. The problem is that I'm a very mobile person and my iPhone and iPad are always with me in my backpack. I don't always have time or patience to be able to handle them as if they are precious jewels.

The first thing I noticed in the iPad 2 press conference when they showed the smart cover video was the metal on metal click that you heard when attaching the cover. I immediately was imagining hairline scratches on the side of the iPad. And then of course the absolute lack of protection on the back concerned me as well. I want to be able to sell this thing when I get an iPad 3. I don't want it all banged up.

I spent $20 on eBay and got way more protection than what the Smart Cover offers. Yes, sometimes cheap accessories on eBay don't work out so well. But these did--they are holding up well through all my travelling.

thats why i put a BSE on mine 1st

^^I did this. No scratches at all. BSE back cover & smart cover are an awesome combo.

Whenever I see an iPad in a bulky case, I think of this kid:

I think some of you are just too sensitive about your iPad. I like my smart cover it protects the screen thats what i care about when i shove it in my backpack or whatever. If the aluminum gets scratched so be it.

Give it some character and give yourself a break.
