Haha well I got a time out last night for posting a slightly vulgar emoticon and "post padding" for saying "+1"
so this forum is strict lol

lol well it was my original topic but it's okay, i had to replace my iphone at the apple store today and I decided to get an incase slider to protect its new-ness.

nice cars though

putting wax on the phone why didn't i think of that?????? gonna pull out my optimum spray wax tommorrow and try it out!!!.

my iphon has a light scratch cost by the griffin clarifi lens things. I did the fingernail test and yes my nail catches on it so it can't be buff out. any suggestion on what to use to make it less obvious?

Careful man! Though I do like the incase slider case better then other case, it does lightly scratch up your phone. I just had a Zagg Invisible Shield installed the back of my iphone 3g yesterday and trying to see how I like having no case, and so far so good. The front is protected with power support crystal film, the anti glare is nice but I hated how crapy the resolution gets with it.

Hah. The antiglare sucks because the screen gets all sparkly. Besides, if the back is going to be glossy... might as well leave the front glossy too.

The invisi shield is the best when it comes to scratches, you will seriously have nothing on your phone. One problem. They use water to put these on.

Yea, they use a bit to position it and squeegee it out...but you gotta love their life time warranty that if you upgrade to a newer iphone model you just peel off the film on your old phone, bring it in (so that they can recycle?), and they install a new film set on your new phone for just the $10-15 install price.

thanks man, its a coupe...yea I used to be crazy into the BMW scene....but not so much any more. I used to be big into the forums and went to lots of meets and all.

That's effing insane sir. Beautiful. My dad had an e46 330ci then an e46 M3. Traded that for a C6 ZO6 though....what a beast. I'm looking into a few e60 5 series for my first car as I turn 16 next month. ;)

1) What does the blue painter's tape do? I know it protects it somehow. I've seen the blue tape used as a temporary bra when people take their cars on long road trips.
2) You have a link to your profile on some kind of BMW forum? I'd love to see all your mods and more pics.

It's so you don't burn the edge of the paint/get build up of polishing product when you are detailing your car.

I'm not a professional detailer, but I saw that almost all professional detailers use it , so its more of an insurance issue.

Yup, just covering up things that would be a PAIN to clean up if sealants, polishes, or waxes were to get on them.

Thanks man, thats sweet, you'll enjoy your 5. You know, I havent been on my old BMW forum in a LONG time...almost a year now. Crazy how into it I used to be, had almost 6,500 posts not counting the accounts that got banned haha....

wow, sorry to go so off topic

I dont want to transform this guy's iphone care thread into a show off session :(

PM me if you want complete details, racing videos, and pictures of the car and whatever else....but any care and detailing things should be cool because they can relate to caring for an iphone.

two almost direct sunlight reflection shots ( 2 days after a detail so some dust had fallen on it )
