Hm... I guess I'm now leaning towards the PS 3-pack.

Question for you guys using front/back screen protectors from PS/SGP: What are you using to cover the sides? I've heard that the stainless steel scratches quite easily, even under the bumper.

SGP Ultra Oleophobic get my vote! Still waiting on my SGP Anti-Fingerprint & PS HD, but the Oleophobic is much better than the plain SGP Crystal IMO.

I also took a stab in the dark and ordered some Switcheasy Pure Anti-Reflect screen shields.

Have you seen an SGP oleophobic? I don't think anything can be "more clear" than it. I will find out, soon. I have the SGP and ordered a PS for my husband.

Yes, I have seen an SGP Ultra Oleophobic; in fact, I have one on my phone right now. I just find it hard to believe that anything could be more clear than a PS Crystal. The Ultra Oleo may or may not be just as clear but if I had to choose between the two, I would have to say the PS is more clear. That's just a guess though as they are so close that it's virtually impossible to see a difference. If anything I would lean towards PS just because SGP's customer service is so bad and that has to count for something.:D.

I was going add that I am looking for a protector for the back as well. So I'm guessing that the SGP doesn't come with a back protector? That would probably be the deciding difference between the SGP and the PS.

I tried the SGP Ultra Clear EX for back and side protection. The back won't stick on all edges and the side pieces were really thick and plasticky. I got the zagg 4Fix sides free from Best Buy and like them a lot better. I still have the SGP EX on the back for now. I might try a BSE (best skin ever). I don't think I'll mind the orange peel effect on the back.

I have an SGP oleophobic on the front and love it, so I was really disappointed with the Ultra Clear EX kit.

The EX Ultra Crystal set does but not the Oleophobic.

I'm done with all screen protectors. I've tried many. I want to fully enjoy the retina display. After all my first iPhone 1st gen did not have a screen protector on it until the 8th month and never a scratch. The 3GS 6 months with out screen shield. There is no screen shield out there that looks like the original display... NONE!!! I'm going naked. With only a case for better grip!

Another vote for the SGP oleophobic.

You really can't tell it's there and the finger prints wipe off with ease. When ever I use the phone and then take it out of my pocket to use it again the finger prints are gone.

Also if you want a back protector I would recommend the SGP Ultra matt for the back.

I was using the SGP crystal which came with my skinguard and it was very nice, very clear. I did however just get the PS combo pack and changed over to the PS crystal(on front and back) and personally I think it is much better than the SGP. The installs were similar - both dry- though I think my SGP install was a little cleaner. It was a brand new phone at the time so that may have had played a part.

The SGP screen that I received did not have a front camera cut out though that may have changed since I ordered in the beginning of July. Perhaps someone who has ordered recently can verify that information for you.

so does it install like powersupport? ie. no water or any liquid? thanks

and does it have a cutout for the front camera? thanks again :)

The SGP is a dry install so it's similar to the power support.

I think the new SGP films have a cutout for the front camera. I ordered early, so my oleophobic doesn't, but it has no effect on the camera anyway.

Does anyone know if Apple retail stores will sell screen protectors? Last time I went to buy an accessory was a PS anti glare in 08 but I read that they're getting rid of them because people perceive that if they sell screen protectors, that their phones need screen protectors.

I asked when i bought my iP4 and the guy said "we don't have any for the iPhone 4 yet." I just would prefer to buy in a physical store over online.

If anyone has seen PS or SGP in any Best Buy/FS/Apple etc, let me know!

I don't think Apple will have any screen protectors ever again and I haven't seen anything other than IS in Best Buy.

Sweet I was just about the post the same thread! I got the Wrapsol Original and the display took a big hit after application. Any white or light color is plagued by thin vertical colored lines that suck the beauty of the screen right out.

Off to order a Steinheil.. thanks!
