I'd like to know your opinion, guys!
I'd love to get an Apple Watch series 2; So which is the best choice? Sport with ion x glass or sapphire glass?
Who own AW Sport aluminium do use some screen protector? is necessary? if yes, which best brand /quality?

    Thanks!!

I have the aluminium and don't use any screen protector; it's a watch and I don't care if it gets a few marks on it.

Saying that, it looks pristine with just one tiny mark.

Sapphire has a high durability with scratch resistance on the display and you wouldn't require a screen protector if you so choose. Keep in mind, the sapphire display is only available on the stainless model, which is significantly heavier over the aluminum model. (The aluminum model weighs 40% less than the stainless model.)

The Ion-X Glass is durable, but doesn't have the scratch resistance the sapphire display has.

If you want to add a screen protector to the aluminum model, I would suggest Armorsuit for the Apple Watch.

I had an iPhone 6 Plus and the camera on the back has sapphire glass it does scratch so I don't believe about Sapphire glass anymore. I have AW with X-Ion I put screen protector with tempered glass on it. I ordered from Amazon.

Have a curved glass screen protector on mine with a case on top of that - absolutely essential for me as I've whacked it against walls multiple times over the last few weeks since purchasing the Apple Watch. Don't know the brand... but there's a store at Metrotown (mall in Burnaby / Canada) that installs them. Costs $14.95 with lifetime replacement for $5 each time you break it. I've cracked it twice already (free replacement within 30 days - great store).

I say go naked, the thing is rapidly reducing in value anyway so enjoy it. Just make sure it's on your home insurance.

My watch is always covered in sticky stuff with 2 young daughters lol.

I can't foresee a situation where I might drop my watch on to a hard surface; I've never even dropped a phone in more than 18 years of owning one.

That's a long record. I can say I never dropped my iPhone either without damage or my Apple Watches. Although, I'm not a very clumsy person either.

I liked Misxi TPU screen protector. You can find it at eBay or Amazon

I have used the armor suit. But I found out the hard way that spray sunscreen causes it to bubble up. Did it twice now. Didn’t know what caused it the first time, but I saw it happen the second. Now I keep the screen naked but the watch is in a case to prevent me from banging it against things. I’m more worried about the fact I use it in salt water than I am about the screen getting scratched. I have AppleCare + if anything bad happens
