Just fyi, the most recent screen protectors I've purchased have been from Monoprice - they run about $1 a piece or less, come with screen cleaning cloths and adhesive strips to catch dust before applying.

Does anyone know of a decent screen protector (iPad 2) that doesn't come pre-packaged with it's own supply of dust and fibres?
SGP. Power Support. Plenty of others as well, I'm sure.

Did you do any research before buying? Not all screen protectors are equal.

You get what you pay for.
More importantly, what you get is directly related to the effort put into it. Price doesn't guarantee quality or even a suitable match for your needs/wants.

I don't understand all these "you get what you pay for" mindset come from. I'm quite confident that a piece of plastic film doesn't cost $30 to make. Yes the bigger brands have better quality, but are you sure it's worth 95% more?
It's worth it to me to use screen protectors that not only offer protection but offer the clarity and texture that I prefer. Worth is always highly subjective though. Whether it's worth it to you or not is an entirely different matter.

I have a screen protector on my iPhone4, but not on my iPad2. I use a Logitech Zagg keyboard (aluminum tray-type device) most of the time, which doubles as a screen cover & protective case when not in use. I really like the feel of the gorilla glass - so smooth and easy to clean. If I didn't have this keyboard case/cover, I suppose I would get a screen protector of some type.

I do wonder why jobs is so against screen protectors.. I feel the screen could still get scratched up easily, despite what he claims. Anyways, I go with anti fingerprint films always, because I mostly read with my iPad, and dont need the clearest resolution.

I use a piece of scotch tape to peel the film from a corner, then another piece of tape looped sticky side out to grab pieces of dust that get caught between the film and screen. Seems to work pretty well.

I do this exact trick too.

I know they are expensive, but I can't stress enough how good Power Support protectors are. I've got one on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 and they do a phenomenal job.

I had the anti-glare anti-smudge InvisiShield installed on my new iPad 2 today. I previously had the normal InvisiShield on my iPad 1.

I don't like it at all. It's grainy as hell and the screen doesn't pop out at you with bright and clear color like on my iPad 1. I have no idea why anyone in their right mind would actually use this product. I mean you can't see the smudges on the screen when your using it anyway so what's the point? I use my iPad indoors 99% of the time so anti-glare means nothing to me. I'll be returning this screen protector and will have the normal InvisiShield one put on instead. I had no idea the dimness and graininess would be this horribly bad.

Add another one for Power Support. I got SGP Ultra for my iPhone and was disappointed. I've have PS Anti-Glare on all my iPads

PowerSupport Anti Glare.

Install in the bathroom... Bathroom? Yes, run the shower on hot for a while, so steam builds up. It knocks any dust in the air down and makes a clean install much easier. My apartment is a dust magnet (horrible filters, thanks landlords!), but I get good results with the bathroom method.

Give it a shot. :)

Couldn't that trip the moister settings?

You won't regret buying one :)

Yes, yes, yes. Probably the best screen protector I've ever had. I bought it for my iPad 2 and now I got it on my 4S. Absolutely no bubbles, installs in a matter of seconds, and can be washed/cleaned and reapplied. Money well spent if you ask me.

Or use some tape to trap dust, and avoid this entire "shower" process....using a piece of tape couldn't be easier

Just installed the ps crystal clear and works amazing , it doesn't allow much fingerprints and you barely notice you have a protector on
