I’m getting a Thanotech E2E in the mail tomorrow, and also the amFilm. I’m going to try the Thanotech first and fall back to amFilm if the black top interferes with anything.

I typically use Anker. Its cheap, good quality and a good replacement warranty. New ones have a little bit of a halo effect on the 8Plus, but Anker usually quickly resolves that.

I can confirm the halo on the Anker ones.

I thought I messed up the first time and tried the second one from the pack. Same problem.
I haven't heard back from Anker yet.

the halo is part of the reason I only use the apple installed belkin. Its more expensive for sure, but its hassle free...worth it imo

It might be worth the price, however the closest Apple Store to me is a 2 hour drive. So it's not worth the price and a 4-hour round trip to me.

That’s a lot worse than mine. I only have it on one side. Did you order the double defense ones or regular? Double defense seems to be better but still some halo. I emailed them Friday and just heard back today. So I bet you will hear back soon.

I also got the Double Defense ones.

I did hear back a bit ago. They offered a replacement but seemed to indicate there might be differences in the 7 & 8 Plus. Here's what she said:

"By the way, we have forwarded your pictures to our product engineer and confirmed that the iphone will have a tiny difference in their dimensions even in the same batch. But the tiny difference in the dimensions of the phone could affect the use of screen protector, so not sure if the dimension of your new iPhone 8 plus could fit properly this time. Anyway, we do not want to give up any chance that might help."

They had similar issues last year from the 6s -> 7. It took them about 2-3 weeks to create new ones. They ended up sending me a replacement of the new ones and refunding me. Their customer service is definitely top notch.

Yes they are. I am sure they will take care if it.

I BOTCHED the Thanotech install - dropped it sticky side down onto carpet. FAIL. The amFilm isn't E2E, but it went on ok and seems to look ok.

Thinking of getting a black front face iPhone but I like how invisible tempered glass looks in a white front face phone. Never had issues with halo with Maxboost but seems like the halo ring around the edge of then glass protector seems more noticeable on black.

Ouch, doesn't look right. :(

Shoot us a DM we'll hook you up with a tempered. In fact, all 8/8 Plus/X wraps come with free tempered glass protectors included in your order.

I think I sent you a message here, if that's what you meant. I'm not sure, LOL

If you want a glass screen protector, I highly recommend the Tech Armor "Prime" (Accessory Glass by Corning) protector. It probably is no better in terms of protecting the screen, but it is noticeably thinner (at .2mm) than other glass screen protectors I've used, including Tech Armor's Ballistic protectors, and the edges are nicely rounded. They are more expensive compared to the many others out there, but $9 isn't bad if you are careful with the install, and it's a much nicer screen protector and worth it to me. I've installed dozens of screen protectors over the years (film and glass), and this was the easiest one yet. You could even carefully lift and reposition it if you didn't place it quite right the first time, so long as you hadn't pressed it down yet, which is something I hadn't expected. The one thing I've noticed with this (and other) glass protectors on the 7 and now 8 Plus is that the adhesive may look a little wavy at the very left and right edges, and I don't know if that's a manufacturing artifact, or a result of the screen curving down slightly even before it gets to the bezel.

http://www.cupert.com/products/cinder.html cinder looks good man... i am thinking abou tit

Against my better judgment I ordered one on Saturday since their site is still functioning and is updated to reflect protectors for both the 8 and the X.

Their site said it would ship in 1-2 business days, Tuesday came and went with no word. Yesterday I sent them a message on their site asking when I could expect a shipping notification, still no response.

Ordered the Peel one I linked above this morning and it already shipped. Will tell Cupert to cancel the order, then when they don't respond, I'll just rescind the charge with my credit union I guess and get my 50 bucks back either way.

Amazing how they could have such a great product and completely ****ing blow it like they did.

I currently have the glass spigen protector for my 8 plus, but it only just covers the visible width of the screen. It does not go right out to the edges, obviously due to the curved edges.

What is the best screen protector?
