I used a thin piece of plastic (actually from the Watch packaging) and gently ran it down the side to see if it dislodged the "dust". It didn't budge. Might be glue, i don't know.

Its quite hard to see, but there is definitely a gap there. I just assumed this was the usual build quality as i've not seen another Watch up close to compare.

Unless Apple changes their stance as of right now I have been told it is not acceptable by two different sources at Apple.

Interesting, thanks. I was going to head into the Apple store at the weekend to take out Applecare for the Watch, so i will see if i can also arrange a genius appointment to get this looked at. Aesthetically it's not a huge issue for me but if its going to impact on the water resistance then it needs resolving.

And yours wiped off? I just got another tweet from someone who sent me a photo on a SS model. its hard to tell in photos if its screens detaching or just dust.

On the photo above, do you happen to know the MFG week of your watch? It seems like many of these issues stem from week 14.

Yea it just wiped away. I used a wet wash flannel and now I can't see anything. It only took one wipe. I will definitely keep an eye on it though.

I have noticed that the gap around the screen is a bit bigger at the top then everywhere else as more dust seems to get stuck down there. My watch is a week 14 too.
