Then keep a small amount of bezel and boom, you grt the best of both worlds. Durability and a larger screen.

The bezel can still be shrunken and they should reduce it.

Not to nitpick too much, but this isn't a physics problem, it's an engineering one. There's no equation that says you couldn't make a bezel less screen.

Correct. You can't hide the assembly screws easily if you don't have the bezel. Apple uses bonding of some kind but there's still stuff that needs to be hidden.

Yep, that is what I meant, if LG did it for their own laptop and they currently supply retina screens for Apple they can perhaps supply Apple with retina displays with smaller bezels like that one.

The smaller bezel or the bezel-less screen?

Bezel-less. As many other people have said before, the bezel supports the screen. It's easier to have smaller bezels on laptops (as shown in that pic of the LG) but on phones you have to worry about tapping the screen so you need the support.

indeed

This is what i mean. Larger screen but not necessarily making the laptop larger...

edit: sorry for a really really bad mockup. But you get my point...kindof ;)

for sure!

nothing says pop out like a super - ultra thin bezel.
i love the mbp but the black bezel can be reduced even more and still have functionality / strength etc etc... i don't care for the cam any more so that can go, they should have a bluetooth cam option!

track pad clicking can also go, so it is just a flush glass track pad with no ability to make the click sound nor mechanism to click, just tap only!

no.

this is not good, the top and bottom bezel are still fat fat fat, a sunk in screen with an ugly plastic bezel glued onto it is cheap.

no.

everything has to be flush and smooth.
