Regardless of Software or Hardware issues.
A brand new laptop shouldnt come with problems like this Regardless.
If im within the 14 days id demand for a replacement.
I know...
I'm over the 14 days but under 30 days. Any chance Apple Phone Support will ship me a replacement?
Defective parts are covered for one year. you should be fine for them to ship the new computer to you. You just have to return the defective one.
So glad I'm not the only one! I have a 2010 MBP and it just started doing this in safari last week....so I'm planning to go to the apple store for both...
Went to the Apple Store today. When I described my screen issues and that I had read that it might be a flash issue, the guy said he was aware of it and it was not uncommon. In disk utility he checked the hard drive and it said it was corrupted, so he repaired it. He said that the latest snow leopard update was supposed to address this, so he ran software update, and he further stated that Adobe had come out with an update so he went to their site and updated flash.
Thus far, no problems but then again it hadn't happened in the last day or 2 so we'll see. Hopefully it was that easy but we'll see.
I just came back to post in this thread to ask this: Should I just update OSX Snow Leopard from 10.6.4 to 10.6.5?
I need to anyways so I can fix the "I see black bars on the edge of my HDTV" problem from my Moshi HDMI adapter.
So should I go ahead an update?
Current version is 10.6.7. Just run software update.
