Scrolling in Lion is so slow!

Hey guys,

today I phoned Apple support and lo and behold, the technician found a solution to my problem! I simply had to create a new user and the laggy scrolling was all gone.

Now all I have to do is copy all documents and settings, backups of apps and stuff to /Users/Shared and move them to the new account.

I had no AirDisplay or DisplayPad installed, so that was not my problem.

Uninstalling DisplayPad fixed my scrolling problems.
deleting the app is not enough, you have to delete all the .kext files as well

Bizarrely this is disk permission issue. Something to do with Java. Simply run a repair disk permissions operation and the choppiness should be resolved.
