I'm glad it's same
Design personally. Prefer it to the fake 4" 6 looking body leak that happened earlier this year

Main complaint is screen. 800:1 vs 1400:1 or something. I can see it.

But on its own SE still isn't a bad screen in my opinion. Just a bit behind the times. And side by side.. No comparison

For me the OIS on the 6S+ was the clincher. But now with my carrier splitting the phone subsidy and my plan, I no longer have to upgrade every 2 years and also I have to come up with the full purchase price at the point of purchase. So, my next iPhone purchase in 2018 could be interesting...

I'm the same here. Smartphones are such a large part of how my wife and I organize our lives and have become a major tool that we're looking into the carrier's financing (as much as we hate it). I'd rather spread my payments out then throw down $1K all at once and that's just for one of us.

I had the 5s for what seemed an eternity (as I really didn't want an iPhad). I like the size (and, I actually have huge hands) :p But grudgingly went for the 6s last fall as it didn't appear that they were making the SE as feature rich as the 6s (they came close, but not quite). I still feel they shouldn't treat it as a discount option - give us all the same features as the "flagship" phone, just not quite as much battery life.
Oh...and don't get me started on the fact that they're giving better features to that + monstrosity!!! GRRR!!!
Next year, I'll likely end up upgrading again - we'll see how they treat the smallest form factor in their lineup at that point in time to see which I choose (the 6s still feels too big, though I'm more used to it).

If they brought out the iPhone upgrade program (ie. renting your iPhone from Apple) in Canada, I'd gladly upgrade every year. You hear that Apple? The way to fix your slumping iPhone sales? Roll that program out around the world. F--- the carriers!! :)

Opposite here the SE is too small for daily usage for me, the iPhone 6 + I use everyday and it works like a charm with videos, browsing the web. Could never go back to a 4 inch size again.

I will be upgrading to the iPhone 7 in a few weeks. I personally like the size of the 4.7 screen. It's perfect for me. I also own the SE and 6s Plus. So I have experience in all three sizes.

I have too I've been with iPhone since 3G, 4.7 is a good size i will admit but anything smaller I couldn't use. Hard to go back smaller once you go bigger.

The 6s plus is needlessly large. A 5.5" screen phone does not need to be so large. In fact, it's the largest one on the market with no gain in battery life vs its peers.
I really don't understand why.
It's absolutely not one-handed and doesn't fit in any reasonable pants pocket well.

The SE is definitely the better phone and it's about half the price with equal battery life.

I would go with a phone (SE) over a phablet (6s Plus) for my daily use - small and light over big and bulky is always a plus, unless you're a women with a purse.

I have no issue fitting my Moto X or Galaxy S7 Edge in my pockets. That's not the problem for me.

My issue is using the phone one-handed. I use my iPhone SE with two hands a lot, but there are plenty of times I need to use my phone with only one hand. When I'm walking my dogs, it's so much easier to flick a Pokéball with my thumb on my iPhone than my Moto X or Galaxy S7 Edge. I feel like I'm going to drop the other two.

Important things in life, right?

SE all the way. I briefly tried the 6s+ and it just wasn't for me. If I need more screen real estate, I will use my iPad Mini.

Given the choice of the two I would say the SE wins due to its screen size and ease of portability. The Plus is just far to big for normal use and I'm yet to meet anybody away from a forum that does not think its a pain in the backside. The screen size is great, but the oversize bezel that makes you feel like you have a roofing tile in your pocket is way past its sell by date.

What is even more disappointing is that Apple are rumoured to be releasing a phone the same size next month! Why haven't they worked on slimming this beast down?

I went with SE because the deciding factor was price, and also I bought an iPad mini 4 a few months earlier. I came from a 5 to SE. I'm really happy except the fact since I bought my phone here in Japan, it makes that loud obnoxious camera shutter sound and there's no way to silence it coz it's built into the software. But I'm happy and plan to upgrade in 2 years

Having a 6th Gen iPod Touch (4") and a 6s Plus, I can tell you that the 4" is too tiny for me. Even my iPhone 6 was too small. 5.5" is great for web browsing, typing (which I do a lot of), reading, video watching, gaming, and as a bigger camera viewfinder. I definitely couldn't drop back to 4", but I know that some people really like it because of how one hand friendly and pocketable it is. I'd rather have all the benefits of the Plus though, personally. :D

6s+ all the way. After finally getting an iPhone with a decent sized screen, there's no way I would go back to a 4" screen ever again.

You just met your first that doesn't find it to be a pain. :) I don't have any problems pocketing it or using it, and I quite like the versatility a larger screen gives me.

I went with the SE, really like the portability of it, real fast operation, and of course, the price is very attractive too.
this is my 3rd iPhone & gotta say, Apple still is the cats ass of smart phones.

I haven't met you away from a forum though. There are quite a few people here with your view but everybody I've met in real life has commented that it's so big. It's s question I always ask out of curiosity.

I need practicality for phone, and bigger screen to read during commute. So, I would pick SE with e-Reader (i.e. Kindle).

Can't deny it, price was my deciding factor. I just didn't want to spend that much money on my phone. I figured I'll ride it out to 2017 with this new SE. Everyday I do kick myself for the smaller screen, but the SE fits in even my smallest handbags and back pockets. And because of the smaller screen, PREVENTS me from playing games and wasting time on my phone. :):):)

i've tried them all. 6s plus for screen size and good battery life. 6s for good all around size but battery life could be better, SE for pocket-ability and battery life.
