Got one of these this week. Took it out yesterday to test the camera. It turned out to be rather crap. Everything is like over sharpened and over saturated as you’ll see when looking at the Sky and Grass, the sky and grass were not them colours.
Yes, I think its some issue with the HDR.I see what you mean about the green in the first shot. I've had no problems with my SE2 for photos, I think they look great (for a phone) and even use it for filming some YouTube content though with Filmic Pro and some accessories.
Maybe as it was a dull day the phone has over compensated by boosting the colour. Also you have areas of bright and dark so possibly some HDR thing is going on?
Unfortunately you cannot turn HDR off with iPhones 13 or the SE 2022.you can turn off Auto HDR and disable Apple Pro RAW - but full control you will achieve only using a third party app like Hallide Mark II.
I got better results from a cheap £150 android phone hence my surprise at this from a £420 apple phone. What did you expect? It's the cheapest phone and has a single lens, looks good for what it is honestly.
Well if it is any consolation, be glad you didn't buy a 13 Pro…I got better results from a cheap £150 android phone hence my surprise at this from a £420 apple phone.
I hear ya but there’s more to a phone than the camera.I got better results from a cheap £150 android phone hence my surprise at this from a £420 apple phone.
Dj honestly dont just judge the camera on your SE3 just on these pics, judge it over a whole range of pictures in different lighting scenarios and i reckon you will find the camera to be on par with some android flagships.I got better results from a cheap £150 android phone hence my surprise at this from a £420 apple phone.
This. And even if you do not want to invest in a third-party solution you can switch to shoot RAW and develop your photos using the free SnapSeed.Dj honestly dont just judge the camera on your SE3 just on these pics, judge it over a whole range of pictures in different lighting scenarios and i reckon you will find the camera to be on par with some android flagships.
Another vote for Snapseed. 👍This. And even if you do not want to invest in a third-party solution you can switch to shoot RAW and develop your photos using the free SnapSeed.
The pictures look good for what the SE can provide.Got one of these this week. Took it out yesterday to test the camera. It turned out to be rather crap. Everything is like over sharpened and over saturated as you’ll see when looking at the Sky and Grass, the sky and grass were not them colours.
