You sure your iMac crashed because of OS X, not because of You? It's ok to mock the AppleTV, Apple does a good job mocking it by barely giving it a heartbeat or any updates. It's also ok to mock the new MacBook Pro as it's not a "Pro" machine or even new hardware. It's even ok to mock the Mac Pro aka the Trashcan since Apple doesn't support it either. hmm, after re-evaluating my comment I guess Apple is just a phone company now...

A problem happens on two computers, one Mac and one a Dell running Windows 10. Same problem. Windows will be blamed for one, the Mac user for the other.

Boy, I'm sure glad I have generation "one" it's still working great!
I have a first generation ATV. I replaced the hard drive with an SD card and I put a crystal video card in it. It's actually kind of cool but I still don't use it much as it doesn't support Netflix, Hulu, or Airplay.

That happened to me. I did a full factory reset on the apple TV and unplugged and restarted my AT&T UVerse modem and everything came back.

my just restarted on its own, than Computers and Settings boxes, interesting thing is auto update is turned back on again (not by me and this is not the first time), tried everything including full reset, still nothing.

I’m having a lot of issues all of a sudden with my 3rd gen Apple TV. Most apps have stopped working. For example, the YouTube app tells me Unavailable try again later.

Some apps such as the ESPN app still works, and the Netflix apps works when it wants too. Very disappointed and don’t think I will be purchasing another since I had a 2nd gen unit WiFi stopped working.

My two 3rd gen's still work fine, awhile ago I noticed they changed the home screen and added the TV app. I don't use Youtube regularly, but the last time I checked it worked. Actually very pleased with mine, they were cheap, have been very reliable and I'm frankly surprised that Apple still supports them.

Mine are hardwired on ethernet and I have 150mb FIOS internet.

Thanks, I reset my Apple TV and it finally worked. Weird that apple support had me try everything but this.

Thanks again
