Don’t hire Chinese people in super sensitive positions, or positions having too much access to sensitive information.

And before the outrage mob flares up, I’m clearly not suggesting this because of Chinese ethnicity.

Yeah, that’s an autonomous test vehicle owned and operated by...Apple, which is why MacRumors uses it.
I still not getting why Apple isn't using an American built car for those purposes. Like a Tesla or something... They also good reengineer it like the German car manufacturers do. They buy Tesla's and keep it apart for knowledge.

As Apple wants to turn green, they should drive electric anyway.

What? China engaged in corporate espionage? No way!

Also, Lexus, and parent company Toyota, refuse to use Apple's CarPlay. Maybe use a different brand of automobile for these articles.
Not true anymore. Until last year Toyota was of the belief they could do better than Apple and Google. The reality was they did not want them gaining a foothold in their infotainment systems. Toyota starting rolling out CarPlay last year though it is only moving forward. No luck for those who bought a vehicle without it.

It’s time to stop hiring Chinese citizens to work on highly sensitive technologies. We’re in the middle of a new Cold War with China, folks, and they’re stealing every single piece of Western technology they can get their hands on. It’s not a secret anymore.

Universities and American technology companies hire Chinese citizens at their own peril, and sometimes at great risk to our national security.

If companies are hiring Chinese nationals as employees, they are out of their mind. They have no allegiance to anyone except the mothership in China.

Yeah they will probably launch it in the next 7 months ;)
Another fact... if the Chinese got an hold on Apple's plans, you can rest assured the Chinese project 'Titan' will get a speed boost and we see something fully operational in the near future. They've the screws and now the blueprints

Dude. There's an app for that.
Apple's networks are pretty basic but if they were half as interested in security as they advertise, they'd already have implemented Data Loss Prevention software. You don't want your first indication of a problem to be suspicious photos.

You don't think there are any Westerners involved in industrial espionage?

Remember those stories back in the day when iPhones were “misplaced” in a bar. That’s correct folks it does not matter what country one comes from there are bad apples :: pun intended :: everywhere.

It should come as no surprise considering some Chinese folks visited a village in Austria, took a bazillion pictures, and next thing you know, China has their own Hallstatt now too. They will replicate anything and everything.

The New Las Vegas strip. Makes sense bring worldwide man-made historic treasures to the local masses. At some point in our history many believed zoos and circuses were a great idea bringing entertainment to the locals.

I wonder how many people will use this article as a free pass for racism.

It’s already begun.

Why are people picking on China? Did we forget where all Apple products are made at? If the production is not made in China, then more people will be complaining Apple products will cost way too much than it already is. Besides, a lot of legitimate and knockoff products are made in China and sold here too so why is it surprising? If we are sensitive to China stealing technology, then why are chinese students allowed to enroll in colleges and universities in the U.S.?

At least one--you.

Your very question is racist ( you forgot the "?.") No one here is thinking that.
We're commenting on industrial espionage, theft, betrayal of trust, dishonesty, spies posing as employees and friends.

I take it you haven't read most of the other responses.

Sometimes what might seem like theft might be a carefully controlled leak. Sometimes it is disinformation on purpose to screw up the competition.

On a strictly practical level, I don't think anyone would be able to make up thousands of convincing but fake documents on Titan. Even Apple.

*sighs* Done. That was harder than it needed to be; apparently Blender can't UV project from view a non-reset pose of a rigged model, you know?

Jesus wept, you’re a ****ing artist. If your nude paintings don’t sell on the open market, you should really consider animation.

I should know better than to respond to someone who thinks bringing up racism is racist in itself, but here goes. All Chinese people are not alike. All Chinese people are not corporate spies. Suggesting Apple ban all Chinese people from working on sensitive products is racist. That act would cause much more trouble for Apple than one terrible employee, who happens to be Chinese, stealing intellectual property. Hopefully you are able to parse this information.
