Did you realize "Moving Forward" was Toyota's annoying slogan for years? Not true anymore. Until last year Toyota was of the belief they could do better than Apple and Google. The reality was they did not want them gaining a foothold in their infotainment systems. Toyota starting rolling out CarPlay last year though it is only moving forward. No luck for those who bought a vehicle without it.
The one featured in the picture (RX350) still hasn't added CarPlay. Lexus has one of the worst infotainment systems among the luxury brands. Makes an odd choice for appleMany 2019 Toyota and Lexus models are equipped with CarPlay. This was announced about a year ago.
be honest: if you owned a tech company would you hire a chinese national regardless of his or her credentials?I wonder when this will have an effect on companies hiring Chinese citizens ?
I don’t know. I know that Tim placed a safety net outside of his office. Why are people picking on China? Did we forget where all Apple products are made at? If the production is not made in China, then more people will be complaining Apple products will cost way too much than it already is. Besides, a lot of legitimate and knockoff products are made in China and sold here too so why is it surprising? If we are sensitive to China stealing technology, then why are chinese students allowed to enroll in colleges and universities in the U.S.?

It is irrelevant where Apple products are made, as for Chinese students, they come to the West to learn things they cannot learn at home, and while they are in the West many spy on and steal from their institutions and are even trying to sway the debates in the Universities. The problem is ethics. I live in China right now, culturally if someone can steal from you to gain an advantage they will, there is no cultural prohibition stopping it. Much like there is no cultural prohibition stopping cheating in exams. Why are people picking on China? Did we forget where all Apple products are made at? At the end of the day, most businesses waking up to the reality of the dangers of employing Chinese people, they will be unemployable outside Chinese businesses soon enough.
Can confirm.I hate to say it but I kinda agree with 45 when it comes to the subject of the Chinese. They are not our friends.
Where do you stop?I wonder how how it will take tech companies to stop employing Chinese staff at all. The risks are too great.
Where do you stop?
Stop working with companies who hire Chinese? (There goes your iPhone production)
Stop employing people who have Chinese partners? (Because you don't know who they're loyal to)
Stop employing people who speak Chinese? (Because you know they're divulging stuff)
Stop employing people who have been/are going to China? (Because why would they?)
"The risks are too great"
What BS.
It is irrelevant where Apple products are made.
Yea, AngerDanger, transformers rule. Imagine an arm to knock on a window while someone is driving and texting, finger wag for no no!I can't help feel like the demo Apple car we keep seeing in these articles is the mid-evolution between a normal car and a giant robotic spider car.

China are already pushing into the North American market with their cars, they're currently constructing a factory in Mexico that should be fully operational by 2020.I work at the car parts manufacturing and I've seen a lot of Chinese being hired lately. My assumption is that in couple years Chinese branded cars will be coming to the market worldwide and compete with other well known brands. The thing is that our company is not thinking really well they just want to hire cheap engineers, I wouldn't be surprised if our company will eventually face a new competition sooner.
You don't think there are any Westerners involved in industrial espionage?
The Chinese steal IP and trade secrets? You don't say... No shocker here.
