this is a little bug but one people should be aware of. Steps to repeat (might be inconsistent):
  1. iPhone is locked and sleeping.
  2. Attempt to connect using iPhone Mirroring on Mac.
  3. Mac says phone needs passcode to allow iPhone Mirroring.
  4. If you wake the iPhone, it will momentarily display the last screen contents before the device locked/slept, and then flash up a passcode screen.
  5. If you mistype the passcode, the screen contents will again flash-up -- all without any authentication.
I experienced this earlier but I just tried to repeat the steps now and couldn't make it happen again. But FYI -- take care!
