Yeah, but it takes a real man with the sack enough to order a girlie drink in a bar with people all around.

I did that once. I don't know why Cosmopolitans are considered girlie drinks. They's dang good, if you get it properly made.

Basically, I've had very, very little experience with alcoholic beverages. I think I made have had a sip of beer at around 14 but have never really got into drinking at all.

Well, this coming September, that's about to change! Your beverage recommendations would be welcome...any brand/type is fine as long as it's available in the U.S.

Can't drink or smoke until you're 21 here in the US, but you can grab a gun and go die for your country when you're 18. I never quite understood why.

I imagine you're going out with friends to celebrate. Drink whatever they're buying. Drink lots - you're 21 only once. Just like myself and near everyone else I know, you'll throw it all up anyway.

You can work on what you really like in a leisurely fashion over the next 60 years or so if you're lucky.
