Yeah, it re-adhered fine. I think that if I put my SGP carbon back on my phone, it'd be enough thickness to keep the phone locked together. But with the thinner SGP Matte back skin on, it's not thick enough to press the lower cases locking tab up into the slot on the upper case (this is all talking about with the felt out). But it's cool. Like I've said before, I'm glad my case is a bit looser, as I like the idea of having the room to keep my skins/shields installed while still using the case. Had too many instances with my 3G/3GS where slider cases scratched my phone.

That's funny. I have the SGP carbon on now and a brand new SGP ultra matte box on my shelf. I had one on back in July but it kept getting bubbles on the back ( weird ) so I sent it back and they sent me a whole new kit. I like that kit the most of all I've tried. I'm just waiting until they perfect the new anti-finger print screen protector so I can put that on. I have a whole mess of SGP and Lucky Labs stuff.

Haha. I've been putting together kits for sale. Their choice of ulta clear, oleophobic or anti-finger print for the front. White or black Lucky Tecksure skins for the back and any colour Spectra wrap they want for the sides. $ 45 bucks installed or 35 bucks for the SGP clear kit installed. Sold 11 kits so far. It's a lot better than paying 40 bucks for a ZAGG kit and trying to put the dam thing on yourself. You make more than double the cost of the kit including shipping. Helps with extra dough to buy more cases :D

Nice idea! I did a similar thing last year with uniqueskins.com's custom skins, and Rebel Scholar's clear slider. I'd make up local college sports teams skins in unique skins' custom skin designer, install them, and then put the Rebel Scholar clear slider case over them all for $35 installed. I was paying $12 each for the slider cases in bulk (had to buy in increments of 10), and the unique skins are around $6-$7 each for a front/back set. Made a little "case subsidizing" money from it!

See what case whores will go through.:D It a great idea though. I buy a lot of electronics and until I get them free to review I'll have to find ways of getting it instead of just spending my own cash. I'll end up will around 600 profit that I can just re invest into more stuff for sale and for myself.

How did you get it to stick back on? I'd been worried that removing it was a one way trip. I was also wondering about the term 'bubbling' being used, what foes this meen? I found it was pulling the top edge away from the phone by the camera / flash is that the same thing as you are all describing? I've put a spare zagg back on the back and am back in the Vapor. Needless to say the bit the sales guy said was not there in the Seidio was, just as you all said it would be. I'm trying to work outvthe best way of putting it on without pulling the shield down from the back.

The only back shield I've found locally for sale is the zagg. Anyone in the uk know where to get the shields being named here, or do I need to order from the states?

The adhesive stays on the back of the felt if you pull it off slowly, and then just press it back down to the case to get it to stick. Put it on a piece of wax paper while you have it off of the case, if you want to be able to save it and reapply it later.

A guy I work with just got the seidio rugged and was wearing it today. Very nice case. I'm glad I'm able to see one in person.

My views;

I really like the back camera flash gasket. The defender really could use one.

Seidio is definately more bulkier than the defender. And I like the outer plastic skeleton on the seidio. Looks like it provides great protection.

As far as being able to 'quickly' change into a 'regular' case? Pretty need but I'm not a huge fan of '2 piece cases'.

I need protection most of my week except weekends. For me it's not a big deal to change from the likes of a defender to another case once a week, most likely Friday when I get home from work until Sunday night/monday morning when I start my work week. Now if I had the need to change from and to them back every night different story.

The defender in it's state compared to the seidio in it's max protect state in my opinion is a much more stylish case. Although the defender adds bulk, not ad much as the seidio it's much more attractive.

As far as protection I believe both are equal except as I said I would like the gasket protection for the back camera/flash.

I had to put the felt back on the bottom half of mine again. I was cleaning my car and I reached in my pocket to get it and the bottom half stayed in my pocket. I think they really need to change the design on the locking tab for the Slider. If you put the case on once and left it on that would be fine but it was designed to take apart on a regular basis to put in a Doc Station. I like the case a lot but there are some definite design flaws here.

For those that already have an Incase Slider, but would like this kind of protection at times, here's a little something interesting that I discovered today. The Rugged add-on kit (which is what I have for my Innocase slider) will work flawlessly on the Incase Slider as well! So you can have your choice of interior cases, either the Seidio Innocase, or the Incase Slider. The only very, very minor issue is that since the Incase is slightly thinner than the Innocase, the camera flap on the back is SLIGHTLY more loose when sealed (covering the camera). It still snaps shut like it's supposed to when covering the camera, but there is a little wiggle room. Very, very minor, and the flap still only comes open when you want it to (won't release by accident, even with the slight bit of play).

I think this paragraph just sold me on the Rugged add on kit. This is exactly what I'm looking for, something tough for work, but easy to get off and switch up for a night out.

Well my case is now on and I really like it. However I'm still having problems with the screen protectors. I could not get the case on without pulling the back protector away from the camera etc. I followed White/Rhinos advice and took the felt out of the top. I managed to get it on with only slight movement of the rear peice (not sufficient that I'll try it all again). However it also has caused a slight lifting of the front cover on the top edge.

I'm currently useing zagg covers. There is not much of a choice in shops in the uk. It appears the Internet is the only option, therefor, what protectors (back and front) do you users of this case find best?

Does the front cover supplied fit 'inside' the edges of the inner case, or does the case go over the edges of the front protector?

Thanks once again for your assistance :)

How do you like the rugged?

What do you like best and least about it?

The front screen cover supplied is the same type as the SGP. It is a good cover. It will still lift though. Cutting out the space between the camera and the lens helps but there is a raised square in the middle of the case that's there to help keep the case locked in place. Thats the real culprit. It's a design flaw for sure because it happens with or without a phone skin. I don't want to take off my SGP carbon skin on the back. Its a great produce but that slider needs some rethinking for sure.

Well although you could never call it an attractive case it's not that bad. However it totally destroys the aesthetic beauty of the phone itself. However the upside is that with all the pieces on I really don't think the phone will EVER come to any harm, short of dropping it in water.

I really like that in it's 'minimum' form it looks like many cases my friends got on the Apple case program, far less obtrusive and quite refined. The benefit is that, unlike my friends, I can add the extra parts to make a very robust protective system.

What font I like? Well the worst part is not being able to get the inner case on without virtually destroying the protective covers. I appreciate the case should meen I dont need them. However, the raised piece of plastic, by the camera, puts a line down the rear glass. This wiped off but over time this line may become permanent. I like to think i look after my things, the last thing I want is for the case to damage the phone in any way. The only other point us that the pack I got did not come with the holster for when the phone is in the Innocase only. There is a pack that White/Rhino bought that does have it. However it's not readily available in England. I find it odd as if it is a pack containing the 'upgrade' parts, for someone with an Innocase already, why does it come with an Innocase?

Any hoo, it will provide far more protection than the FAR better looking Vapor, I just wish I could get it on easily with the zagg or other protectors. White/Rhinos idea of taking out the top felt piece did help loads though. :)

Sounds like they have tightened up the design of the Innocase (interior slider case) since I got mine. I was one of the original orderers of it, and my slider case is so loose on a bare iPhone it's not funny. If fact, it won't stay locked on the bare phone, and the bottom half will just slide right off on its own. But, this actually worked out in my favor, as I've mentioned. I can use a full front and back shield (have successfully used Wrapsol, SGP Matte, and SGP carbon fiber skins) and the case still slide on perfectly. I've since even added full side protectors, and my Innocase still slides on without a hitch! With front/back/side protectors, the Innocase, and the Rugged outer case installed, nothing can happen to my phone, short of dropping it in water! But, if I ever take any of the shields off of my phone, this case will be unusable, as it won't stay on the phone at all.

They have tightened it up. I bought mine 2 weeks ago from Seidio directly and the case was extremely tight on my iPhone with only a screen protector (I took off my Lucky Labs carbon back). It was bubbling the screen shield bad.

I had to remove the felt lining and even then it still bubbled the screen shield. I removed the SGP anti-fingerprint I had on there (big mistake) and put on the included one thinking it was just too thick. Still bubbled it on the top right corner.

Finally after reading what Rhino did, I did the same. I took a modeling knife and trimmed down the divider between the camera and the flash and smoothed it out. No more bubble and no camera issues either. This even allowed me to put the carbon Lucky Labs decal back on with no bubble.

I do miss the anti-fingerprint screen shield though. The included shield with the rugged kit is pretty good but I hate fingerprints.

Side-note: I just saw this on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innoca..._1_1?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1285956914&sr=8-1) and my order that since I obviously haven't spent enough cash on cases yet (I'm over $450 at this point not counting the free ones I have received).

It seems it is like the rugged kit just without the Slider case inside. They had a version with a holster but I hate holsters. Haven't decided yet. I am actually enjoying the Speck Candyshell despite the ugly scratches I have all over the "Batwing Black" one. The Seidio Rugged has replaced my Otterbox Defender though.

So I had one of these http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innoca...U5CS/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1286042842&sr=8-7 sent overnight.

My initial thoughts were spot on. It is essentially the outer rubber portion, minus the port covers, and without the Innocase internals. It does have the standard Innocase style camera cover (not the flap portion though) but that is on the outer "skeleton" and not the inner rubber portion. The rubber is a lot stiffer than the rugged and it fits pretty tight overall. No stretching as it comes out of my pocket and it isn't as much of a lint magnet on the rubber since the plastic skeleton covers more of the rubber. It doesn't bubble the screen protector at all and my carbon fiber back is still on.

Overall this is a lot better than the case-mate tough or Otterbox Commuter. Not quite the protection of the Innocase Rugged or Defender due to not having an internal plastic shell or port covers.

This probably my new everyday case until I can get a hold of a Switcheasy Capsule Rebel. The internal on the Switcheasy isn't as sticky and that is my only complaint for this one.

Just got my rugged today from Seidio direct, gotta say this is one great case :) I don't have the sliding issues with the Surface case, in fact the phone slides in effortlessly but yet very secured.

Loving my Seidio now!
