So one would let perfect strangers make choices for themselves?

Not me, I was raised differently and I would not even consider asking someone else how to spend my money.
You are really over thinking this. He isn't asking you to tell him what to buy, he's asking for opinions, which he will weigh in conjunction with his own to make a decision.

As I said before, if I was on the fence about switching from Android to iPhone, I may ask for others opinions because others went through the same process, and could provide valuable feedback that could save me from troubles down the road, or bring up points that I never even thought about considering.

It's not the same as me just asking you what I should buy, and then going with your decision. It has nothing to do with how you were raised.

I do not agree and I think it is how one was raised. But it is just my opinion if allowed to have one.

Then why did OP not just come right out and say it?

So please sell me on iPhone. What's new in ios9 and what have I been missing on.
That's not "What is your opinion about iPhone" or "What do you think about the iPhone".

Words matter most in an internet forum where tone cannot be determined.

That said, this was addresed only a few posts down on the first page. OP acknowledged that it was opinions he was seeking and how the perception had come across.

It's open to interpretation, but my understanding of his post was that he wants us to tell him why Apple is better, and then he can use that to help him make the decision. Of course you may be right, he may be blindly going with what the majority or first poster says.

Well, OP wanted opinions. He stated that when I pointed out what the perception of his original post was. So, there is no more ambiguity on that.

What's being debated is how his original post came across and how many of us interpreted that. Many of us in here assumed based on the words used that OP was NOT seeking opinions, but asking us to make the choice for him - which is not the case.

OP just used a poor choice of words to indicate he wanted opinions.

After having every iPhone model up to the 4S, I switched to Android when the iPhone 5 came out as I didn't like the form factor. I had Android Phones in the 2 years after and while I enjoyed them, I always felt there was something missing and I spent more time tinkering with them than actually using them.
I got an iPhone 6 as soon as they were available and have thoroughly enjoyed using it - it does what I want with no fuss and no hassle and I love the integration between that and my mac (handoff, etc). Everyone's different but for me personally that two years away from the iPhone has proven to me that the iPhone is the right phone for me :)

As a former iPhone user, I switched to Android about 2 years ago. Every now and again I get the itch to switch back, but when I look at phones in the apple store, it looks as if not much has changed.
So please sell me on iPhone. What's new in ios9 and what have I been missing on.
Go to the phone shop or if you have a friend with one, have a play around with one and see if you like it. If it doesn't do it for you, don't buy it. It's such a personal choice and not one anybody is going to care about apart from yourself.

thanks a lot for the information on what the new operationg system has on the iphone. I have never been a fan of the i products before. kinda considering to get one now. After reading this thread. :)

Thanks a lot to the people with helpful responses. I cannot believe how many trolls there are in these forums now. A lot of rude and unnecessary responses telling me to make my own choices when All I wanted was opinions and selling points. Id hate to see how people react to macrumors opinions and reviews.
But once again. Thank you to All the friendly and helpful people.

Been like that ever since I joined. People need to get off their high horses and ignore the thread if they do not like it but noo.

Anyways Ive tried almost every flagship phone but a jailbroken iPhone is by far the best IMO.

What was arrogant about the way he phrased his question? WOW.

"So please sell me on iPhone" Asking for our opinions on iPhone
"Whats new in iOS 9?" asking whats new in iOS 9
"What have I been missing out on" asking what new has happened in iOS that we prefer as users

How in the world is that arrogant or condescending?

Well obviously Android and iPhone DO have different features, specs, OS, and everything

But now a-days I don't really see much difference in specs or features between two devices

I think the only thing that decides either Galaxy or iPhone is depending on the design on the phone and the OS you prefer.

I personally love iPhone's design and the OS is very comfortable in my decision, therefore I ended up becoming an iPhone fan

Plus, iPhone lets you have iMessage and not be that one kid who has galaxy and makes the groupchat into a SMS

And the best feature is Facetime (facetime yo bae)
