That said, Law Enforcement will stay out of situations such as yours, being they want to avoid Civil suits and pending litigation

Not sure how you can tell me what did not happen after I told you what did. I went to the police station and filed a report. Done. It happened. So don't tell me what law enforcement won't do when that's what they did.

Yeah, I'm not sure about selling on eBay any more. This is the second relisting because the first couple of times it sold the buyer didn't pay and was then "No longer registered on eBay." I don't get the point of spending time and effort bidding on a phone to then not buy it.

If it doesn't sell this time, I'm not sure how I'll sell it. I offered it for £550 to Facebook friends and no-one was interested.
My theory is it's another seller trying to bid competing iPhones higher than their own and using dummy accounts. Otherwise, you're right, it makes no sense. I've had people bid my stuff up too and then never pay.

You can lessen your chances of getting scammed by offering it for collection only. It might go for a bit less but the peace of mind may be worth it to you.

More likely people bidding on multiple auctions and only paying for 1.

How easy and safe is it to sell on Swappa? I will be selling my original ipad Air right after Christmas and then my iPhone 6s next year when I upgrade. I almost got scammed on eBay last year with my old iPhone so I'm staying as far away as there as possible.

As a seller, be very afraid of eBay. Buyers these days--and there are plenty of scammers and unscrupulous ones--can lie about the product you ship them and get their money back in an instant. I would not risk it.

eBay is dead to me.

The main thing that worries me about Craigslist is counterfeit money. Damn tough these days not to get ripped off.
I sold a bike via Craigslist. When they brought the cash I used one of those pens to check each bill. Found one counterfeit 20 that the person just got from the bank. They went back to bank got a real 20.

Cashiers typically use these Pens with cash denominations $50.00 or larger. To avoid suspicion, its typically &20.00 bills that are the most counterfeited, at least in my Area. These pens are widely available online and in some stores (Staples might have them.)

Staples does, where I got mine. They show black on paper, yellow brown on linen, like money.
