you need ti use tiny umbrella and Itunes you need to have the tss server on while you restore this tutorial will help as long as you have the blobs it's basicly the same.. http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=16496

yes restore as new is always the best way.. put it in DFU just don't reload your stuff when done.

just a good idea you will be doing it when you jailbreak any way unless using jailbreakme.com Iclarified.com has all the tutorials..

Help!!
I am having a problem retsoring. I have TU server running, iTunes is running, the phone is in DFU mode. When I option click restore and navigate to the Pwnage folder and select the file, I get this error message:
The iPhone could not be restored because the firmware file is not compatible.
I am running 4.2.8 (8E401) on the iPhone. The firmware I have on the desktop is iPhone3,3_4.2.8_8E401_Restore.ipsw
I have the blob saved.

One simple question though, after the restore I need to JB the phone, correct?
