Sort of, one of my girlfriends friends wants it for 700 (of course I wasn't expecting to sell it for my full asking price). She just has to wait for her next paycheck. I have another few offers for less than that. If she doesn't come through I will sell to them. Are you interested in the MacBook or just curious? I am reinstalling SL as I speak (well, type).

...one question, did you upgrade the RAM, HDD and have applecare on the machine?

I upgraded RAM from 2GB to 4GB.
It has original HDD (160GB)
AppleCare expires 12.26.10 (The AppleCare was originally on a different MacBook, then I got it replaced via AppleCare and transferred it over to this MacBook).

The offer is for sure a scam. They offer to use their own shipping account because that way you have no proof that you sent anything and they automatically get their money back.

These people operate another scam which offers people in the US a "work from home opportunity". The address you send the item to will be some poor sucker who will then ship it overseas at his/her own expense to the scammer. This way there is no way to trace your item to the crook.

So not only you get ripped off, but so does the person that ships it to the scammer.
