Can you explain this? Cause when it hanged, I turned it off and 'Just Booted' with redsn0w, when I booted after that it still hangs at the Apple logo

SemiTether updated, more stable, now allows Safari while Semitethered

I'm not sure I can... if the SemiTether isn't working, you have to use Redsn0w to boot. I put SemiTether on two different phones. On the earlier releases, I had some issues on one of the phones, but rebooting with redsn0w always worked. Those issues were always respring issues as well, not getting stuck at apple logo.
I doubt it. When you upgrade to iOS 5 your phone is wiped and then restored from backup by iTunes. I would expect that this wipes all your Cydia apps. Write down what you have, and reinstall. There are also packages for backing up your Cydia apps, but most are not yet available on iOS5. I tried AptBackup, it should just backup a list of apps and reinstall them. Restoring resulted in a crash and all apps (AppStore and Cydia) were gone. So caveat emptor
Anything you have paid for is registered with your Google/Facebook account, and can be reinstalled for free (that's the theory at least, have not tried).

First thing you should check is whether the cydia apps you really need are svailable for iOS 5 yet (bite is)
Most backup programs for cydia aren't working very well is my opinion, I hear very many complaints
Syncing cydia with Facebook works fine
Finally installed after hearing of this update and its working as stated. Was able to reboot my Jb'd IP4 on ios5 and not get hung at the Apple. I did not have any difficulty installing, and this will be a lifesaver until untethered jailbreak is available.
Is anyone haveing trouble with ibooks while using this. While in "jailbreak mode" ibooks wont open, but if i reboot into the "semi-tethered mode" it works fine. by semi-tethered mode i mean that the Jailbreak stuff doesnt work but the factory stuff works.
The semi tether has been great for me. Gets me back my essential functions and makes a tethered jailbreak usable for the majority of us. I can live without my JB extensions for a few hours if my phone dies if I can still at least use the phone part of it! Great work Big Boss.
Of note to a lot of people.... there are still a lot of problems with many extensions on iOS 5. A lot of extensions don't work at all, some are buggy, some are in beta. Just an FYI that it's not as smooth sailing as your 4.x JB.

maybe you should try again because the fix were just out not long ago.
just installed it less the 20 minutes ago edit: the repo I used had the older version.

And when you add it, Cydia throws a Source Warning that this repo has been reported by the community as illegally distributing copyrighted material. Too bad this fix can't be posted to a legitimate repo like modmyi or bigboss.
