Here are some screenshots of mine showing the sort of fit that you should get with a Vaja case.

I think I see what's wrong...

Aries326,

I think you have the wrong case for an iPhone. It looks like you have the i-volution G:

instead of the i-volution SP:

I'm not sure how to break this to you, but you have the phone inserted in the case upside down!

Try it the other way round and make sure that it slips into the sides of the case and all the way down. You may find that all is well then.

Please let us know. :)

Edit 1: Actually, I take that back having looked at the photos more carefully and having seen the orientation of the vaja logo on the back. I thought at first that this was a Vaja iVolution Top SP, the same as I ordered , which has the fastening on the top rather than the bottom. I'm off to their website to see which model yours is.

Edit 2: Well I can't find that model on the website. What is it?

That's definitely the problem.

I'm not sure whether they'll take it back but you could always sell it on eBay and hope to have the same luck as the guy who got as much or more than he paid several months before.

Hope you sort it out. It's the sort of mistake many of us could make. :(

Oh shoot!!! You guys are right!!! I did order the wrong one!!! I remember seeing the double stripe red case on display and thinking it was a cool design. I didn't double check to see if it was the iPhone or Ipod Touch. I clicked on it and ordered immediately.

Here I was trying to get my phone to fit it and I even put a rubber band around it to get it to mold onto my phone. Hmm... Anyone wanna buy it? I guess I'll sell it on eBay.

So I ended up giving the case to my cousin for helping me move furniture around my place. The thing works great on his iPod Touch. Here are the pics:

I ended up buying a Retro Classic Dockable. After seeing the iVolution GT, I'm worried that if I get the SP, removing the iPhone from the case constantly to charge and dock will stretch the leather and it will become too loose on the iPhone.

I got a Vaja case. it was a horrible experiance. it took longer then originally stated to get the case they say a month it was over 2. the case had snags in it and a scuff make. that wasnt all it came to me dirty. the holster after less then a days use rubbed the leather raw. I tried emailing them like 5 times. after 3 weeks they emailed me back wanting pictures of the case. that isnt an issue unless the case it orange and the leather underneath is yellow. I cant get a good picture. Such a horrible experiance. I had better luck with my incase case. that thing was never dirty and didnt scuff up and was sent to me clean.

oh yeah i forgot the button in the case wasnt fat enough to make contact with the button on th iphone so it was a nightmare to use. I still dont have a resolution for a 120 case.

Hmmm...Vaja is the creme de la creme IMHO

I've gotten three Vaja cases (two iPods, one iPhone) and they have all been the definition of class and precision. My only complaint is that they are pricey, but I have to say that I think that they are worth it.:D

3G phone - will it be a diffrent demention?

Because of the long wait to process and order, my wife bought a Vaja case for my future iPhone last week. She wanted it to arrive for my birthday mid May when I plan on picking up an iPhone (when my verizon cell contract expires).

I just realized with all the news of an impending 3G iPhone the demnetions might change. Any reason to think it will?

Why is the iPod Touch a diffrent demention than the iPhone?

Unfortunately, the cover doesn't clip over the top. I have to stretch it out. The part of the cover which is supposed to clip over the bottom of the iPhone gets stretched out and won't stay clipped on.

Also, the phone has a tendency to pop off the case from the right side. The right side doesn't seem to have the same "bite" as the left side.

The reason why you felt that it didn't close properly/have the same "bite" was because you either ordered, or they sent you accidently an iPod Touch vaja case. These are slightly slimmer and you can tell the main difference between the two because the iPod Touch vaja case has the front part flip from the top like yours did, and the iPhone vaja case has the front part flip from the bottom down by where the speakers are.
