Vice a versa, going back and forth while maintaining Rich Text formatting. My motivation is to primarily work offline in rich text, then move the document online with no formatting massaging required it possible? I'm using Page 09.

I'm open to using other word processing software to accomplish the goal, but for reference, I place high value on Pages 09 bookmarking feature absent in newer versions of Pages. :(

Thanks! :)

Updated original post. And been looking online, in Google Docs is there an import button? Can't find it. o_O

Edit: I have a specific purpose in mind, future posting of mac and/or pc guides, which I've done here at MacRumors in the past. Now if the powers at large would revert the MacRumors forum back to a status where posts were forever editible, that would help a lot. :)

You can upload documents to Google Drive and then open them in Google Docs. To upload a file, just drag and drop it from your desktop onto the main Google Drive page.

Thanks I'll try this. Once Google Docs has it's claws into your document, can it come back to Pages or is this a one way deal? :)

I don't think you're going to be satisfied with the results.

Why do you say that?

Well, I do have a google drive account and I dragged my Pages doc to the Google drive folder, but it does not seem to appear in my list of documents on Google Docs... Hmm. I do have several google accounts. I'll check the others.

A Pages 9 doc will need converting, either by a Google Drive add-on or an export in Pages, in order for it to be editable in Google Docs. Also, it most likely won't look like it did in Pages. So yeah, it's like a one-way deal.

Well I've been uploading it to My Google Drive and it can be opened without doing anything to it (in Google Docs I think) and it looks pretty good. Now I've not tried to edit online, and this so far appears to working ok for my purposes. One thing I've noticed is the image is a little fuzzy online as compared to the version of this document on my computer. Take a look:

Here is the image from that document:
