For some basic privacy protections and rock solid malware protections:

  • Buy a $250 Chromebook
  • Use a DNS service like OpenDNS with logging disabled
  • Use different login accounts for your different browsing needs or use the Chromebook's Guest account.
  • Lock down all of the browser settings in Chrome including disabling every feature you can including Flash
  • Remove all the default Chrome extensions.
  • Remove all search engines except for DuckDuckGo
  • Install uMatrix and disable JavaScript in global scope. Learn to use uMatrix as you browse to only enable absolutely required resources -- the minimum to get a page and it's videos to load.
  • When typing in your adult site addresses make sure to use https://
