There's no way I'm going to make the September challenge, for a variety of reasons. But at least I got this one!

🤔. Completed September's challenge requirements, but not acknowledged. Any suggestions?

Same here. Moreover, since switching to Watch Series 8 earlier this month, none of my previous monthly challenges appeares on the watch, they are only on the phone in the activity app. I was hoping they would be shown on the watch when finishing the September challenge, but the challenge is not marked as finished although completing it today.

Wait until September 31st...

(based on the fact that some people are getting challenges that say "complete a ring 31 times this month)

I had a day's delay too in getting my challenge this month. Maybe there's a glitch somewhere.
Try to restart your phone and watch.

I won't be able to complete my September challenge. I was on track till the mid of the month but then there were few days where I felt off. I was meeting my daily challenges, but decided to not push myself further for the month challenge. Hopefully next month I will receive more realistic challenge.

This month it was to burn 20,800 calories which is around 693 calories a day. I have a daily goal of 450 calories a day and while I do hit for the most part 600 calories a day, going for 693 for a day was a bit too much.

Very sorry to hear you couldn’t get the September Challenge completed and that you felt off.

It’s a very frustrating feeling knowing normally you could complete it but because of health or other issues you simply can’t :(

Hope your feeling much better now.

Thanks! To be honest it is not something super serious, like something bad. It was just enough to not feel the need to push myself to burn 700 calories a day every day. Like I felt that I need to consider also recovery you know.

For some reason this past few weeks while I do not burn 700 calories a day I manage to have very intense workout sessions for me - I am talking 45/50 minutes of average heart rate of 153 and most of the time spent over 145 which for me is hitting Zone 4 and thus anaerobic and it is now 7-8 days in a row. Naturally I also have lots of muscles soreness because of this, also due to the elevated cortisol levels because of this I have not gotten the best sleep.

It is nothing serous as I said because I could not say it a health issue, it is more about me for some reason not being to not have anaerobic workout.

That’s fair enough then and I understand.
Yep if you don’t feel it it’s best not to push your self like you say.

Let’s hope October’s Challenge won’t be harsh for us both fingers crossed!

Indeed! I think that those monthly challenges can definitely be useful and motivating but we also need to keep things in moderation and to not push ourselves too hard when we do not feel 100 % or if we just believe that the challenge is too stretching.

I do hope that at some point in the future Apple will incorporate HRV data (and thus to some extent recovery) into consideration and would have more flexible daily/monthly goals. Maybe I am just dreaming :D. I think Garmin does that though. I believe that there is something called body battery that is daily specific and is based on HRV and sleep data. And your daily goal (there might be about steps and not calories) is different every day based on that score. So I imagine something similar with the Apple Watch.
