For sure. I have to use “other” when walking with my family or I get no credit, or I have to do additional effort like jumping jacks or something. You also need to intentionally start an activity on the watch or it waits for effort thresholds.
That explains why it will wait until I've been mowing for a while before alerting me. *sigh*
But tracking yard work on Strava has become popular on the group I run with on Strava. They really should make it a category. Some yard work is a major workout for sure...
But you CAN 'ruin' your dog's feet too. I remember I used to run with a GSD at university, and he developed problems with one of his feet. He had to sit out runs for quite a while until he healed (heeled?) and was SO PISSED! He chewed up my shoes he was so MAD!! I was urged to try dog booties, and he was having absolutely none of that so his running days, at least running with 'dad' were over. It was sad for both of us. We tried walking, but he always wanted to run, and go places we used to run, like the forested parts. Don't ruin your dog, or their feet. Or yours.
