The network is down. It's that simple.

The network is NOT down. Other devices, specifically, the blackberrys in my office on AT&T are connecting no problem. It's somehow an iPhone issue. I don't understand it, but it seems to be the case that only iPhone's are affected.

That's not necessarily the case because I DON'T have the iPhone plan on my phone but rather MEdia Net. If it's happening to me it's more than just an iPhone problem.

I'm also down, in midtown Manhattan. Last email fetched was at 3:52am in Brooklyn.

FYI -- If you call and complain a LOT, they WILL credit your account. But you must speak to a supervisor. Regular CSRs only have authorization to give up to $25 credit... but supervisors can give up to $250.

I got $250 off my first bill and $100 off my second bill.

Philly seems to be out

Sorry, I posted a thread in the tips/help forum before I saw this thread. I haven't had service as of 7:30am this morning. Could have been earlier but I didn't check last night.

Virginia Beach around Lynnhaven area, no 3G or Edge. I had used the phone to send an email around 630 this morning which the person did receive. I am coming up on 30 days this weekend...I might be taking a drive to AT&T tonight to return it and let Apple and AT&T mature the network a little in this area, even though 3G has been around here for years. It's a shame that such a great device is ruined by such a lacking network, in my area at least.

Blackberry works because you're connecting to a Blackberry email server. Treos and other WinMo PDAs are down.

i posted in other thread, but other co workers in my office with non iphones are not having any issues.....i am in wilmington, de and edge and 3g data are both down

no service in NYC (staten island, bk and manhattan) for me. just got off the phone with AT&T and they say a 'known issue' in the area

i mean i know there's been issues with the iphone but i can't be too mad, bc **** happens, nothing's gonna be perfect. when i had my BB they had one major outage that affected a lot of people that was not resolved for over a day i believe and one smaller one just in my area (when i was down in NC)... stuff happens.

No edge in Arlington, VA

I'm in Arlington, VA and edge has been out all morning.

I'm surprised that AT&T doesn't have a link for "outages" or something on their front page -- or at least on their Support page. I guess _this_ thread is their link. ;)

No data in DC... called AT&T and got the run around but eventually they credited my account $15 and said they were "working on it". They sounded busy.

Southeast New Hampshire is down too I thought something was wrong with my iPhone this morning since it's jailbroken... hehe. I guess not.

Your right it doesn't make sense. Blackberry's seem unaffected. Mmmmm....

Anyone thinking this is an intentional outage? Afterall, Blackberry's are the REAL corportate enterprise devices right? ;)AT&T surely would not want to piss of all those exec's in those Fortune 500 companies - that can't be good for business.

The wife has a Pantech Duo, and could get online no problem. Maybe this is iPhone only?
