Hi Gav I don't know of a customization guide but all I did was to remove the dock by using Mirage Dock

And then Geektool to set a black panal (image), you can set the opacity in the geektool image window.

I think so. I've seen a couple walking north down Michigan Ave and I believe there are a couple on State Street. I have no idea what they mean lol.
