Ok, how'd you do that to iTunes?

its really easy.

"If you wanna change the color or try to mod it further you can by finding the iTunes.rsrc file inside the iTunes.app. This file should be in the base resource folder in iTunes. Anyway open the file with an application like Resourcer and when the file is open under the Types column go to PICT which of course is the picture resources. When selected slide down to resource ID 1025 and from there its pretty easy to see which files are associated with the UI in iTunes. I used Photoshop and the Hue adjuster to make my ID 1025 and ID 1026 green and the ID 1027 and ID 1028 blue. Anyway thats it."

The app is AdiumX, however I believe that the blur there over the buddies' names is just a blur effect on the image, probably applied through Photoshop. I could be wrong, but I would bet that is what it is.

sorry I didn't add the x. oh my! what a huge error on my part. so sorry..

he asked how it was transparent.. not how the blur was done. duh!

Easy fitto. I'm not sure if you meant that to be funny or you are just overly sarcastic, I certainly didn't mean you any harm. I was just trying to help out the user asking the question with a link and an explanation, hence the "I could be wrong, but...."

I'm soooooo sorry

lol please don't fight over me! :D

Thanks again, although I must say, I still prefer iChat, although AdiumX does have a lot of cool features... damn, maybe I'll switch back and forth or something.. :)

The app used to change iTunes...

I'm going to go out on a limb and think it's probably something along the lines of 'right click (command click), show package contents" and then some fiddling..

The rsc file or whatever does not have a preloaded app with which to edit it...
