Quick question. How do you make the icon of your HDD change like the one you have in the top right-hand corner of your desktop?

i use liteicon to change my icons, including that one (it's the internal hdd icon). you can also right click on it, click on get info and drag a new icon onto the old one (the small one at the top).

Just changed mine. This is a photo I took during my travels to New Zealand and it's one of my favourite photos.

Excellent, thanks for the help. I just downloaded it, but i can't seem to figure out how to change the icon, all it offers is the original looking HDD?(please have patience, newer Mac user here)

you have to get a new icon, from a site such as interfacelift.com and then when you open liteicon, just drag the new icon onto the old one, then click 'apply changes' and then click the reload finder button, and off you go.

this site has a ton of icons, too

^^ I like how you've got it gloriously off-kilter: Dock off to the side, etc. It's a welcome change from the symmetry so common (eg: even on mine...)
