How do you tell what week your phone was made in the year?

settings > general > about

it's probably on the box too but who carries the box around? :p

But is it on the box also, I would like to get a week 30 one but I am unsure if you can check without opening up the box

i'm 100% sure that it's there.

i can't guarantee you that a genius will let you pick which week you get though.

I wish members wouldn’t get these ideas that one build week is better than another. I have a 26 and it works perfectly. I seriously doubt Apple has changed anything on how they make the phones.

IT'S ON THE BOX! i checked before i bought to make sure i didn't get a week 25 because that's what i had on my last iphone and it sucked. so far so good on this phone.

Yes, the serial number is on the sticker attached to the bottom of the box. Also on the sticker/box are the IMEI and sim card numbers as well as related information.

what week is week 30? lol

Week 30 was last week. some people will try to say that this week is 30 (7/26-7-29) but that would be impossible since I bought a 16gig on Saturday 7/24 and it is a week 30. so either last week was 30 or my phone came back from the future.

the confusion comes from the fact that January 1 was on a Friday. so people start counting with the first full week. but it seems apple goes ahead and counts january 1+2 as the first week and then the 3rd starts the 2nd week.
