Shocking that it's that low in price. Another thread said the Moko is better, but they're sold out now. It's Moko vs. JETech vs Apple. Too bad there isn't a store where I can see and touch Moko and JETech in person. I could then judge for myself how much quality loss there is with the 3rd party Milanese Loops.
$6 is less than the tax you pay on the ~$150 OEM Milanese :) I have 3 Moko ones, bought one for ~$8 and liked it enough to buy a backup for $6. The second one had a slightly weaker magnet so the seller sent me a replacement and I didn't have to return the slightly weaker one.

I don't have he moko to compare. For that matter I don't have the Apple one either lol, but I did take a quick look st the Apple Store. My initial impression is that it's not worth $144 more than I paid for it. It's been two weeks today that I've had it and I really like it. Wearing it daily and swapping it on and off for the gym/run at least once a day too. Doing well so far.

Seems to be a few people reporting links breaking but the company has replaced all (that I've read anyway).

I'll also add that amazon is incredibly easy with returns. If you want to check these bands out I would just try them. Return what you don't want to keep. I recently returned an oven gasget rope because the sealant was brittle. As soon as UPS scanned the label thstcamazin generated for me I already had my money back. They didn't even wait to receive the item.

this is not true @scriptkitten - the milanese loop has two identifying markings on it.

at the non-loop end, on the inside will be the size (38mm or 42mm) printed.

at the loop end, at the top of the connector which goes into the watch, will be the words "assembled in china"
To be fair, I wouldn't classify this as "Apple branding". But yeah, that identifier is there. The "made in China" being the identifier is a but insult to injury IMO lol.

Can't maintain a tight fit with the 3rd party Milanese Loops? Or Apple's? I had Apple's for more than a year. It was great for one year, then it got loose and I had to re-tighten it a few times a day. Was that what you experienced?
Can't maintain a tight fit with Apple's. If I'm out doing a lot of activity I switch over to a sport band or leather band. If I'm going out to formal events I put up with the Milanese band.. I find the magnet to be weak and will slide along the band just enough to create a loose fit, a minor annoyance. I have your same experience. I wonder if the Leather Loop band has a stronger magnet?

I have only had my Milanese a few days, but just finished a 2 mile hike in the woods and no issue. Of course its brand new and it's Apple. I will see how it fairs a year down the road, I would think if it falls in the warranty period for weaking magnet that you could get a full replacement from Apple.
