Can someone explain how this will work in reality ? So you can leave your iPhone at home... so you will need to have a second sim with a diff number in your watch ? Which you will have to circulate this new number to all your contacts and let them know that you have your watch on and not your phone ? So people will have to try two numbers to get you as they wont know what you have with you. Or will you have to keep removing your sim from your phone and put it in the watch every time you use your watch.

Don’t be silly and watch the the watch section of the keynote

So if your phone goes dead you can’t send or receive iMessage? This lte feature seems pretty limited. I’ll order it tonight and read all the reviews that drop after the embargo is lifted and will cancel if It doesn’t sound like it will work for me.

Nope there has been no mention about iMessage not working. The carrier guidance was a limit on sending and receiving SMS Txt / MMS message. This required that your paired iPhone need to be on and connected to the carriers network.

Seems to be around the linking of watch to the same number as the iPhone.

Tmobile just quoted me $25 for service to the watch, said it would take an extra line...obviously Tmo has not trained staff on it. I'd consider $10 maybe but no more, - and $10 would be $15 with tax plus windup and clock set fee + flood fee + govt tracking fee...
