Series 4 Shipment Thread

Interesting! My Gold Aluminum (40mm) had a departure time from Suzhou, China at 5:45 PM their time, which is 5:45 AM our time I believe. Has your card been charged? Mine was preauthorized and held since Friday then dropped off last night and has not been charged again. Mine will come to Centerville, IN UPS - not far from you and the same thing happened to my X last year as you described IIRC. My Apple status still says PTS.

Did the track by reference trick on UPS, and seeing movement...My order status on Apple still says "preparing to ship"...

Last year we were able to track the flights they were most likely shipping on. Does anyone here know how to do that? It seems like several of ours are probably going on the same one, which makes sense.

UPS ref track with phone number works too. Mine just showed up there while Apple is still showing preparing to ship.

That putting in the number thing isn’t where mine showed up, I deleted it because nothing ever changed, while all by itself another tracking entry showed up.

Leave the letter and drop the last two digits. That's what worked for me. You can also try your phone # without the dashes.

The Apple Store still says Preparing to Ship, and two years ago it stayed that way for a few days. My S2 Watch had already moved from China to Louisville before the status changed.

My S4 Watch was scanned into Shanghai at 7:04 PM (7:04 EDT).

My credit card still shows the pending charge from Friday. It has neither dropped off nor been charged again.

Our Watches are on the same pallet. Everything since the origin scan matches exactly.

Am I the only one surprised that they have sat an entire day in Shanghai without leaving? I guess Tuesday they could get to AK, then to KY to finally start showing shipped by Wednesday, to get out to more local state by Thursday ... plenty of time I guess? but geeze just wish that big plane would hit the states!

I’m still surprised that Apple hasn’t changed the status yet in days from preparing to ship. If i remember correctly, I got ‘shipped’ on my iPhone X once the first movement happened, but then again, I didn’t get it at launch so this could be different.

I don’t think the shipped happens until they are dispatched from Kentucky

We used to use FlightAware in years past but I can’t figure out how this year. I do see a couple UPS flights from Hong Kong to anchorage that are scheduled to take off in an hour and half, and another in about 2 hr so maybe we will see departures in a couple hours :)

I haven’t read all of this thread but I think you’re mostly American. I’m in the UK. My watch was marked as shipped back on Saturday, along with a tracking number of the UK carrier. But there’s been no tracking info since then. It just keeps saying the watch isn’t within their network yet. I have a 21st delivery date.

I would have been if the same thing hadn’t happened 2 years ago. My S2 spent 18 hours in Shanghai.

My S2 eventually hopped from Shanghai to Anchorage to Louisville fairly quickly and then sat in Louisville for almost 24 hours before catching a late-night truck to Cincinnati.

I completely understand the obsession. :)

Did anyone order through AT&T? My phone is preparing to ship with them, but my watch is still in process. Still says Friday delivery but just wondering if others who ordered from AT&T have switched to preparing to ship
