Does anybody know if the Series 7 keyboard will support other languages than English?

Kind of weird that it's not just all of them - They have all the code in the iPhone software?

I guess it will work in other languages, I just haven't see anything about it.

I'm an app developer and if I change language on a Series 7 simulator the keyboard is still English. But changing language on Watch simulators are not officially supported, so I guess we just have to wait and see.

I was so excited when they presented the new keyboard, until I found out that it’s not featured on Apple’s site here in Norway.
I guess Apple got some support document on their site with an overview of available languages. Or you could just check their Series 7 site in any language to see if it’s featured.

But I suppose it’s like other features they have introduced earlier, English/USA first and then on to the biggest languages/countries after a year or two before it eventually opens to the rest.

Check  website. You’ll see that at Apple.com you get the image of that keyboard. However if you check the same image at the Spanish one for example (one major language I guess), the placeholder shows a random app with bigger buttons. So, I guess not, just for ENG.

Oh, you are right. That is super weird. Scribble also only works in English right?

We'll find out in a couple of days ;-))) . I use the same keyboard for french and english on my phone , it's easier not to get mixed up between AZERTY and QWERTY...

In Germany we have the QWERTZ keyboard and in this press release Apple advertises it for Germany.

So if the Germans get their German keyboard, the other languages will get theirs.. I guess ?

I can’t speak for other countries, but I’m sure we will get our German QWERTZ keyboard on S7. If they would just translate the same document they wouldn’t write QWERTZ instead of QWERTY.
German page shows the same mockups without the keyboard

Who cares? The German QWERTZ keyboard is an advertised feature for Apple Watch S7 in Germany. So Apple won’t come up without one of their few features. What is your point? You fear the keyboard will just be available in English QWERTY?
Yes, Im afraid of that...
I mean, OK they put that on every PR but why that feature appears ONLY at the US website? And all non-English sites substitute that mockup for another one or even delete it? So it's weird.

Anyway, my hope was that the keyboard had this tiny world icon to change the language, so I just jumped into the just released youtube videos. Look:

How would you change the language there?

Now with the first reviews online we have proof of what said. Keyboards in different languages! The German keyboard has all the German stuff! Ö,ä,ü etc.
From what I just saw you have to press and hold space to choose the keyboard language.
THANKS GOD!

I usually use only QWERTY on iPhone so I don't get mixed up . I've tried setting AZERTY instead fro French .
On the watch the only keyboard I get is the English one .
Maybe region must be changed but that's something I'm not about to do. I stick with US
Any idea or photos to show me ElDuderino91 ?

No keyboard on Apple Watch in sweden. Only get the option to use dictation or type on iPhone. Apple support in sweden could not confirm or deny since they do not have any series 7 watches..
