I just wish Safari didn't get bugged up so easily. Even watching a YouTube video, often the page elements just stop working. Tapping to bring up the player controls fails, tapping on another video or to extend comments doesn't work, etc.

Also the input-blocking in Safari (and the rest of iOS) is enough to make me not bother using it unless I have to. Having to repeat inputs that it blocks out is tedious.

Another cool trick is: when on a webpage, long-click the refresh button and select "Request Desktop Site" to view the non-mobile version of the site.
I wish they would implement a setting that you can turn this on permantely.

Another trick is just long press on the tab view button (the 2 rectangles). It gives you options to close all tabs, etc, but also on iPad it lets you open Split Views Tabs. And it was already said, but long press on refresh for request desktop site.
[doublepost=1558483921][/doublepost]Also long press on the bookmarks button for shortcuts to add bookmark, and add to reading list.

Not safari specific but on iOS you can tap on top center to go to top of page, web site, etc.
Wish there was a tap center on bottom to go to bottom of page instead of scrolling with finger.

[*]Close Tabs on Other Devices - If you have multiple devices and use iCloud along with the feature that syncs Safari information, you can close tabs on your Mac or your iPad right from your iPhone. To do it, open up the tab view (again, the little icon with two squares), scroll all the way to the bottom of your open tabs, and then you'll see an interface that lists open tabs on other devices.

Excluding Safari Technology Preview since iCloud Tabs don't work since version 78.

Close All Tabs is killer - thanks for the heads-up!

Also, as expected... a positive story about the iPhone that lets people know about hidden features is greeted with juvenile burns and tiny moan-n-whines from those still in junior high school.

Complaints about the hidden features?

read the f... manual

In case you use an adblocker: Long press on refresh to see an option to ‚reload without adblocker‘. And send to sharesheet of adblocker to whitelist the page so that they get revenue in case the ads aren‘t abnoxious

Clarification regarding close all tabs

You don’t need to be in the tab view to do this, you can also just long press on the tab view icon in top right corner (double squares).

Open link in new tab

I love the two finger tap on a link to open in new tab. I regularly use this gesture. Whilst it has been mentioned in the comments it should definitely be added to the list.

Request desktop website

Also the long press refresh button to switch to desktop version of webpage is a useful feature.

Reload without content blockers (ad blockers)

Also I believe this gesture also allows you to temporarily toggle ad blocker off for the current webpage if you have an adblocker installed. I think it would be good if you could also add the webpage to whitelist using this gesture.

Close filtered tabs

I knew about the tab search but I was unaware of the close filtered tabs gesture. That is another cool feature.

Also... long press Bookmarks/reading list to add webpage to bookmarks or reading list.

Long press back or forward buttons to show all options and skip straight to desired page. In other words you should try long pressing on anything and everything! ;)

Unfortunately there wasn't a hidden feature to delete Safari all together
Safari may not be perfect but I refuse to use Chrome as it gives Google even more power over the internet. Safari is the only competitor worth mentioning at the moment, looking at market share. Even Edge uses the same engine as Chrome.

Here’s a very useful tip I recently discovered...

In iOS - Safari: By tapping two fingers on a link, it will open it in a new tab.
It’s like the “open in new tab” functionality on the mac.

And here I thought I knew all the useful iOS tips.
Thank you so much. Made my day :)

Funny how Mac power users who use daily the epitome of hidden features that are keyboard shortcuts then complain about equally hidden shortuts aimed at iOS power users.

All basic (like find) and most advanced features on macOS are available and clearly labeled in the menu bar (or RMB/ctrl+click popup menu), together with their shortcuts that you can remember if you want. iOS also has menu icon (those three lines), but some GUI "expert" apparently thought it is somehow better to put those option under button labeled "done"...?
