If you want anti-finger print....the ultra fine is the only way to go.

Only issue is that they use a new glue and its harder to workout the air bubbles and nearly impossible to pry it up once applied. Even if you want to do the tape thingy to get rid of dust. So clean well and do in a dust free area (almost impossible).

Start at one end when applying then work out the bubbles from the center out. Do it fast as the glue seems to set and reach a point were you cannot get them out.

Here is another observation I made recently. I bought a SGP protector for my magic mouse. Yes stupid idea...but I was not able to get it on without significant air bubbles.

As it turned out I also received a Zagg Invisashield for my Macbook Air at the same time. I used the application fluid from Zagg to apply the SGP and BAM...perfect installation.

Doing this on an Ipad would probably work as well. Not sure about an iPhone as there are openings in the glass (ear speaker).

Anyway, when I replace my UF on my ipad I will use the fluid approach...though that is some time off.

Just received mine

I have used this company for my iPhone screen protectors in the past so i decided to order one for my iPad 2.

I choose the Ultra Crystal but just noticed how hazy it looks and its driving me crazy, its specially evident when I look at the not covered home button the black is clear and much darker than the protected bezel of the iPad :(. Also it doesn't seems to do much for preventing fingerprints although not has bad as with no screen protector but i see having to carry a cleaning cloth everywhere.

How did you get yours so quick!? You must live near CA.

I do. I live in the OC, I believe SGP is based out of LA. I'm impressed they got this going so quickly. I asked them last week and they said between 4-6 weeks.

I just wish I could install this baby - I setup a Genius appointment today. Hopefully they will have some good news for me.

Why to buy such complicated products like sgp if their glue are so sticky and the application leaves bubbles. I better wait for Power Support AG, and backside for Wrapsol

Got mine today. Got the ultra crystal. Went on perfectly. No bubbles.

How is the fitment. I'm about to order. I had one on my ipad 1 and it was a great fit. The only problem with it was it scratched was too easily like all of sgp's protectors. I found the fit of sgp stuff is usually the best, but power support protectors seem to be far more durable.

I don't think there is any glue just static cling

Got mine in the mail today, not completely happy however, by the time I got down to the home button it was out of alignment and I didn't bother to try to fix it and get more dust underneath. Also have 3 bubbles underneath, but not too big of an issue. I just wish there was an easier way to align these dang things as you go down the screen.

I received mY Ultra Crystal yesterday and just tried installing now - very disappointed.

1. The backer removal sticker on the side/center of the protector was pushed into the center a bit and the adhesive side of the protector had dust embedded in it. I tried using one of the dust removal stickers but could not get the dust off the adhesive.

2. The hole cut for the camera was not a sharp edge, there was a fleck of plastic hanging off of the cut. I was able to remove this with an x-acto knife but should not have had to given the expense of the product.

3. I have installed many screen protectors in the past on iPhones and iPads, both SGP and Power Support protectors. I have never had as bad of a problem with air bubbles as I had installing this product. I followed the installation instructions to a T, screen prep, peeling and slow installation of protector, squeegie, etc. and could not get the numerous air bubbles out. This screen protector is useless given the number of air bubbles.

I wrote SGP requesting a refund. I'm glad those of you here that were able to get good installs out of this are happy but I think I'll wait on a Power Support Crystal Film before buying another SGP product.

It's the glue.

SGP is 100% aware. Ask for a replacement if you want to try again.

Good luck getting a refund out of sgp. There customer service is the worst. They actually told me to get my refund through amazon after 6 weeks of going back and forth.

What glue are you guys talking about. All sgp products I have used do not have glue.

It has sine kind of adhesive, it's not a static sticker. There is some actual tackiness to the backing which indicates that it has an adhesive coating. Regardless, sounds like I'm stuck having to battle bad customer service, ugh. Yet another reason to pay the premium for Power Support films. I once had a miscut film from them and they sent me a new one right away. Nothing bugs me more than bad customer service, I'll post here should SGP price to be a nightmare.

I have one of these on order. Sucks to hear it's not static adhesion like Power Support. I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

These guys are so FOS!

While they may be the only game in town, that will only be for a short time.

They are plain and imply just crooks. They never give replacements, their argumentative, extremely slow to respond, and they misrepresent themselves all the time.

One example I just found on their site was the offer for free Amazon Prime shipping, yet you wander over to Amazon and find that is in fact not true.

One time I used one of their products on my first ipad it scratched almost immediately, they should say ultra fine is ultra susceptible to fine scratches which then brings you the ultimate experience in distorting your screen.

I hate scratches on my screen and this is what I thought I were trying to avoid by buying these over priced slices of saran wrap!

SOmetimes I think I'll just go without, I pay for insurance, the fifty dollar deductible is not all that much more to pay should something happen on the front of my screen.

I'll wait for Power Support too, I have always had a good experience with them, the matte takes a nai to scratch and I had it on for almost the life of my first gen.

These guys are just plain uncooperative.

Just checked their website and it does say they use "non-tacky adhesive" whatever that is.
http://www.sgpstore.com/tablets/app...g-wifi-screen-protector-steinheil-series.html

Thanks for the reviews guys. Now I am definately waiting for power support.

Yeah, that line about non-tacky adhesive is total BS. I can feel the adhesive stick to my skin on the worthless one they sent me, it's not a super low-tack/static film like Power Support's . I hope I can get my $$ back, $28.09 with shipping is a lot for something that flat out doesn't work. Even if I did get this installed properly I don't think I would have been a fan - the shield is THICK. Power Support's are super thin and go on much easier. Sure, they cost more but I guess they know they can charge a premium for a much better product. There's a reason Power Support they were the only screen protector model sold in Apple Stores.

This is exactly how I feel.

Glad I read the whole thread. I too am waiting on power support. I was going to order this as a temp. Then I read glue, sucky support and I'll just bide my time instead.

I've had it on my iPhone 4 for awhile now and I bought the incredible shield ultra matte series. So far it's been fine to me and the screen protector doesn't leave residue at all, there was a time where dust was underneath it and I just used tape to lift and remove the dust with another piece of tape. I don't know if you guys are taking care of your ipad/iphone but I don't have any scratches on the screen as well.
