Gosh, I don't understand the problems you all are having.. Did you open an account with them, this allows you easy access and returns if needed ( have returned several items with great ease and success), I just received the new Argos Black Leather Case (for the iPhone 4) and it is perfect, could not ask for a better fit etc., great workmanship...as for the screen protector problems, you aren't cleaning the screen good enough, if you get the screen clean it will adhere properly. its the edges where your fingers touch and around the home button you constantly touch.( I am using and have used he LCD Film Stienheil Ultra Crystal). Clean it right first. Hope this info helps some of you ...

Interesting, one post staunchly defending SGP an telling others they are doing it wrong, not the company.

However, I ordered a SGP carbon back for my iPod and they sent me an empty envelope. It was never sealed, completely empty.

I sent many an email about the flash cutout affecting the use of the flash with the carbon back (I got the old cutout). Never heard back.

But someone suggested that I complain on Twitter and it worked like a charm. I guess since everyone can see they got back to me quick! Replaced with the new cutout version, and with a color I like better.

I would suggest taking that route.

wow.... just looking on twitter @sgpstore and they have a LOT of unhappy customers there, too!

My first order from SGP was defective. I sent them an email and was credited back 3 days later. My second order was perfect. I did the wet install and it looks great (oleophobic). I used the bathroom steam method. No dust at all is visible and the screen looks wonderful.

The dry install is tough. They should start the process from the home button up. I couldn't seem to align it from the ear piece down. Try wet install and start by aligning the home button. Work out the water (use some force with the included cloth) and within 30 minutes it should look great!

Good luck!

I totally agree with you about it being easier starting from the home button, that's how I've always done it with my Touch etc.

The Power Support crystal clear film, on the other hand, has a slightly bigger gap surrounding the home button but it is close enough.
Yeaah, what's up with that? I noticed it in someone's photos the other day. The big ass gap is highly unattractive. Other than that, I'm sure it's a nice product.

the process of putting on their screens, one on my iPad and one on my ip4 was totally one of the most horrifying experiences I have ever had.
Hours upon hours of trying to get them to loom right and they just never did. always an air bubble, always a speck, always a peeled corner.

no help from their service, no return emails, no nothing, they truly suck!
Bottom line, both thrown away, what a waste of money!

Pffft you guys need my magic fingers and skills, I've never had an issue getting any shield on my phone, no bubble or lint. Sounds like you folks arent cleaning your greasey ass hand before doing the process. Wash everything give everything a good cleaning, and these products work fine....

I bought the SGP ultrathin plus black iPhone case, within two months of very light use it started to crack at the edges. Eventually, chunks of the stuff fell off. I have sent many emails to the company and have never received a reply.

I love the sleek look and it is very comfortable to handle. I am now using the Reveal case and although it is pretty good, the SGP was a lot more comfortable to use. But I don't want to spend another penny at SGP, if they at least acknowledged my emails, I may have considered dealing with them again.

Does anyone know of a comparable case to the SGP Ultrathin?

Has anyone had luck with SGP's customer service?

I ordered a leather back skin, but received a screen protector. Contacted them 3 times, not even 1 single response. Horrible company to deal with and never again will i be purchasing any sgp products in future.

Why are they SO highly praised on these forums? Its all the goods reviews on this company that made me purchase from them.

in you experience perhaps, not in mine and I followed the instructions explicitly. glad you never had an issue but others certainly have!

call your credit card company and let them know. (Amex will refund if you're not happy with your product)

I got my Ultra Matte couple days ago and installed them fine and so far it works great. I have bumper wrapping around the side and so far no signs of peeling off...

Certainly better than ZAGG invisible shield and since I think anything glossy is rather stupid, I really have only 2 options for matte back and side (SGP and Phantomskins?). I did NOT use the front screen protector that comes with the Ultra Matte set as it's glossy... I use a cheap 3 bucks matte protector from Handhelditems.

I did NOT try their cases, however.... Happy with my bumper and I have 2 "replicase" coming from eBay ;)

my only gripe with SGP is that they use USPS which is slow as hell for shipments to canada. My stuff has been sitting in LA for 8 days now.

just had a SGP months back, and just switched to a power support yesterday, wow powersupport crystal not only feels better but it looks better.

Amen. Just threw my crystal on the front and back (bought the kit) and it looks and feels gorgeous. Going to use them with the Apple bumper until my GeoMetric from Speck arrives then I'll just leave the back on for extra protection.

+1 to PowerSupport

I had power support on my 3G and it was brilliant, I can only assume their iphone 4 offering is equally good. I'm pretty sure it even stopped me cracking my screen when I dropped it once on stoney ground. I picked it up and there was a big gouge where a sharp rock had hit the screen but it didn't go through the power support. Big thumbs up.

But anyway, they dragged their feet with the iPhone 4 and don't offer a rear protector so I ordered the SGP EX ultra crystal full body dealio (front back, and sides) and I am extremely pleased with it too. I haven't had any sticking problems, both front and back applied easily - I like their dust removal stickers too, had to use it on the front for one speck and it worked perfectly). The only issue was the side strip on the sim card side seemed 1mm too long, I had to cut it to make it fit with the rest of the pieces with no overlap. No biggy...

So far it seems very comparable to the power support I had on my 3G - same great clarity and smoothness. If anything I prefer how close the cutouts are - the power support had slightly larger openings for the home button and speaker which I guess is to make application easier.

As for their customer service, I ordered the Utra crystal pack and the SGP vintage flip case... 2 weeks later still hadn't received anything so sent an email to support asking about my order. No reply. Sent a second email a few days later and got one back saying it should be with me soon and to contact them if it hadn't arrived within xx number of days. Not great, not bad... give them a B.

Overall, I'm happy enough - both the films and the vintage case are fantastic. It's a shame they seem to have such poor customer service for a lot of people.
